Installed the rear wheel well liners today....

As many have said on this forum.....the factory should have done this. Makes a world of difference, especially with red or white, even silver. The wife's Avalanche has them already, just makes the truck look so much more finished. Once the lift is installed, this will become even a better looking modification.

I installed another set the other day for dads new truck along with the GM mud flaps. Definitely helped the look of the truck.

Looks good, did you greased or under coat the sheet metal before installing them. Helps against moisture build up.

Get a few cans of rubberized undercoating spray and spray the wheel wells.

It does make the truck look a hellofa lot better. But, when you ask people why, nobody really knows what changed, only that it does indeed look better.

I agree they look better,my concern is that mud and salt and moisture would gather behind them and cause premature rusting of the box panell over the wheel well.I use my truck for work and am down a lot of bad roads.I want a set to protect against rock chips, but am afraid of premature rusting.so as you can tell I am on the fence not sure what would be best for me.

Agree. I have the same issue. I assume you could make sure it is covered in grease atleast once a year. But I just don't know about them yet.

Some people here who have installed the WW liners, have sprayed the wheel wells with the rubberized undercoating then installed the liners.

I just had the wheel wells Line-x coated when the bed was done. I think it was around $125....not much more than the wheel liners. Both options are definitely a huge improvement and I think it's just a personal preference.

I just sprayed my wheel wells yesterday. I have a silver truck so it was really bothering me. I just took a scotch brite pad and scuffed the paint up good and sprayed a couple of good coats on. Cost me a grand total of $15.

My only complaint is that it takes that stuff a long time to dry.
