I got it for a steal...$500.  It's white, 3.1L V6, fully juiced, 2+2 seating, 13 way power seats, etc, etc

Sure it has a few problems, but it is still a solid car with all mechanicals functioning properly....so far.  Nothing leaks onto the ground below either.

Things wrong with it.

1) the digital MPH, odo, and fuel gauge come on when they feel like it and then read whatever they like and flicker and flash, etc.  It last registered 114,619 miles when it went on the fritz.

2) the remaining gauges also have a mind of their own and do the same as the digital speedo.

3) the dome light likes to stay on all the time.

Yesterday leaving the train station at night, I had to floor it simply to get the car moving.  So I was going to NAPA to pick a few things for it and figured WTF, I'll pick up a case of DexronIII.  I get home...the f*cking thing was a dry as the Sahara desert.  SO far I've let it swallow 6 quarts of nutritious DexronIII and it's maintaining a level at the halfway mark of the operating range.  It shifts like a dream now though.

I will be doing an oil analysis the next oil change (this weekend most likely) to see what the damage engine'wise is, as well as Bilstein flush both the transmission and engine.

Alright, a Grand Prix, now we both rock

I'd say let's race, but then you'd probably show up in the camaro and make me look bad.

Now why would I be soo mean!  :chevy:

Seriously, right now, I don't plan on beating this thing too hard until I sort everything out.  I've been letting Geo's pass me.

Maybe that is why the transmission didn't leak! j/k!

Congrats on the beater btw! :thumb:

There ain't no wealth, my money tree in the backyard is dying.

Actually that thought crossed my mind and I expected the worst this morning.  But still not a drop on the ground.

I'm wondering if for some insanely bizarre, unexplainable reason it's getting into the engine oil.  Because despite it, the engine oil being black when I checked it (and I didn't notice any Dexron smell in it), it was excessively overfull.

Congrats dude.  LMK when your gonna flush out the tranny, if I don't change mine out before then I might have to try and tag along lol.

If Big Blue needs a home for a few days I've been known to be a good babysitter!!

It'll go strong, don't worry, our 1990 we just sold a few months ago had around 205, and it was running like new with Mobil 1 tri-syn and an AC filter.

haha

I'm not greedy, I'll settle for big blue

Hmm, my Z71 usually uses that name...though if someone's got an Indigo HD, I think I'd have to fork over naming rights.  Ha...as for the car, nothing wrong with a good beater to not worry about dings and the like.  I've finally started to realize how bad the suspension on my cruiser is getting...97k on the clock today and she's a 98...the boys in the back garage are getting its replacement together, but God knows if I'll get a new car or not...haven't yet, we'll see.
