OnStar phone app

My truck definitely does not do that- I think it takes 5 days before it needs to be key-started. Unless something has changed since last winter- I'd usually get back from a work trip and once I made it to baggage claim I'd start the truck from the phone and by the time I made it to the parking garage the truck was toasty warm.

Not sure if this was answered or not, so here goes.

 

I have a 2010. I have added the bluetooth vcim. I subscribe to OnStar. Everything works. Can I take a bluetooth vcim from a late 2011 and newer, and get the onstar app to work on my 2010, or is it just not compatable?

It sounds to me that "On Star" is just a great big hastle. I can not wait until my trial period is up, so I can deactivate it (I know I can now). I am always getting telephone calls from On Star, and letters in the mail offering packages. I do tell them I am not interested in On Star, and the calls and letters keep on coming. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

I have the cheapest package and the discounts that I get on my insurance pay for it. Plus, I at least have a phone that way in case I forget my cell somewhere and need a phone.

I believe that you have to go to OnStar and active something on the site, to make THAT part of it work. I KNOW I had to that.
