I now OWN my truck!!!

I came home from work today and what does my wife have waiting for me? ***drum roll please*** The title to my Sierra. After ~6 years and 94k miles, I officially OWN my truck, lock, stock and barrel. I get to put this title with the title for my 1976 Chevy pickup.

Congratulations!! Paid mine off a few months ago . It is nice having that title in hand and NO payment. I plan on keeping that title a while too. Free's up some cash for mods too:) Enjoy!!

Thank you everyone. Truck sure does seem to drive better being paid off. This weekend I'm planning on some TLC for it. No spa treatments but maybe an oil change, wash...hey maybe got nuts...a wax job. Truck deserves it.

Spend some of the extra money now on a few mods, but keep making payments to the "bank". You have been living with the truck payment for six years, keep it going. That way you will have a nice down payment down the line when you have to replace her.

That's some very good advise. That's how I bought my 2010 Silverado. Kept making payments on my 2001 after it was paid off, paid cash for the 2010....No payment is really nice!

Thanks again. I'd love to save the money for mods but I need it to go towards paying some other bills. Budget's been kind of tight lately and now with the truck paid, I'm going to use that money to snow ball some credit cards...then I'll get to play.

 

I did get some TLC done today. I got the transfer case fluid changed. The fluid wasn't "dirty" but it was faded compared to the new fluid. Tomorrow I might get around to giving the truck a bath and some past due interior cleaning. REALLY need to get an undercarriage cleaning done...dang Georgia roads of sand.
