E-brake HELP!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody, A week ago my e-brake cables snapped. I had my mech basically strip out all e-brake parts so I have no working e-brake now. I was in the truck earlier and my leg brushed against the pedal making it click down once, now it thinks it's on and won't stop chiming and flashing brake on my dash.

How the heck do I release the foot pedal? It's driving me nuts!!!

Thanks for the reply's guys, my problem is that there is nothing connected to be handle, the wire is totally gone. The pedal clicks down, and the "sensor"? Thinks the brake is activated and so the light on the dash is blinking. Is there a way to release the pedal from being engaged?

If you look where the release cable hoods to the pedal assembly you should be able to trip it by hand. Also as mentioned before there should be a single wire connected to pedal assembly, just unplug it. That should take care of the light till you get it fixed.
