4L60E drain plug seaping

aftermarket blows chunks ,imo of course !!!

Does GM make a drain pan with a plug for the 4L60E anymore? Not that I've seen. For sure not at the price of the Dorman. Other than the plug seal, the pan is rock solid and I have no complaints

I could not find a factory pan anywhere. Called all the junk yards around here and nobody had any or had any trucks that would have them. Dealer just carries the ones without the drain plug.

LMC truck had one and it was a dorman as well. The pan appears to be just as solid as the factory pan and fit perfectly. It might actually be a little more solid.

Other than the drain plug seeping, it's perfect. I would strongly suggest getting one because I completely forgot how messy removing the pan was without a drain plug. Just need to upgrade the seal/gasket.

The last transmission pan drop I did in my garage was "the last one I did". How much are dealers charging now to change the fluid/filter? It's a once every 100k mile ordeal for normal service, and once per 50k for "severe" service, iirc.

I've been on vacation all week and got home to a package from Dorman. They sent me two different types of plugs. One is a 14MM-1.5 and the other is 12MM-1.75. Neither look to be like the original though.

They did send me a bunch of washers so hopefully I can see if either one of the new plugs fits and if that doesn't work, maybe just the new washers will work.
