So I go to replace my reverse bulb socket, and the one they sent me doesn't even resemble the stock one at all. The stocker has 3 wires, the replacement has 2, and the locking tabs are different between the two of them. Other sites also show the replacement as the one I was sent. First pic is of the original plug, second is the new plug.3cab4c4cd2a55c311f7848798c3911e5.jpga055266719dae8afa55c7253f290877c.jpg

It looks like one black in and one black out it is probably grounded in series so you will have to hook the two black wires and a white wire from the new socket all together in order to make it work.

I was wondering that myself, but I'm not sure if it'll even lock in place since the tabs seem different. Guess I'll just have to open it, and try it. Hopefully it works, damn socket cost me $35.

It will, it will just take some "negotiating"

I think I asked before, but where do we order those gm-trucks stickers? I'll rep it on my new truck [emoji106]

And I finally did a 4 hi mod on my 02. Can't believe I've put it off so long and it took 5 min. Get me a set of 9005 5000k HID'S to put in and I'm sure it will really light up the night

First post, thanks for the idea to do 4-hi mod on my 02 Silvy. Nice truck, it looks beast with that lift!

Thanks man! Thats actually my play truck now, got a 14 CC High Country as my DD a little over a week ago. And yeah its real easy, just ground out the yellow wire on either low beam. I did passenger because I have a cold air intake so it was real easy to access. Couldn't believe how easy it was!

Troubleshot and repaired my 12 volt socket on the front of the truck. One my crimp on terminals wasn't quite tight enough and wire slipped out. Plus did a little rerouting to make the whole harness look a little better. It really almost could pass as factory now...almost.

Congrats on the new truck! My 02 looks like your play truck but factory ride height and pretty much factory everything lol. Just got the truck a few months ago, and I love it!

99-02 were great trucks. Super easy to access and work on everything. If you ever need tips on something just private message me and I'll help however I can!

I actually just yanked the trans from it yesterday. 3 hours taking my time by myself. There again, this is like the 5th time I've pulled it, plus a body lift really helps things go along a lot faster lol

Appreciate the offer man! I enjoy driving and working on this truck, except crawling underneath because it's 2wd so it's pretty low to the ground lol. I wish I had a lift for the sake of working underneath the truck and of course it looks good. Just had from what I could tell a MAF problem, but a new MAF from the scrapyard hopefully has solved that problem.

You could always try cleaning the MAF sensor before replacing. Also check to make sure no wires are broke

Tried cleaning it with MAF cleaner, didn't help. The truck would stumble when started on cold mornings, but when I unplugged the MAF, it would run fine, plug it back in, it would try to stall or stall. I will find out tomorrow morning when the temp is cold if the MAF was actually my problem. Probably should have tested it with a multimeter before replacing it lol. The wires didn't look broken either.

Sounds like you solved it but you'll find out tomorrow morning!

Have you checked the idle air flow valve for that cold start issue? I'll be replacing mine soon for that very same issue.
