One of the first things I did to my truck with just 2k miles on it was a K&N cold air intake, Corsa exhaust, and Hypertech one-size-fits-all program.

Still runs pretty good today at 77k +, aside from the violent detonation I get whenever I run 87 and push her hard. Since I started running 93 exclusively, it's calmed down quite a bit - still there lightly, but not to the point of fearing piston destruction like it was before. Any time I towed I couldn't give it more than 1/4 pedal on 87. Sounded like golf balls in each cylinder ... and this was on the 87 octane program.

Yup. Decided to be sarcastic for a while since Tapatalk likes to default to that.

Does it really matter where I sent this from?

For a bit and there is a thread somewhere on here where we discussed this. Mine had said something like

Sent from a windowless van outside a park

But why in the hell do you want to get good flowing exhaust with minimal noise? Why not just keep it stock I like pissing people off that's why my trucks are loud and **** they just sound so good loud I don't understand why you'd want to get more free flowing exhaust but not have it loud just save you money then.

I have free flowing and it is quiet while cruising. Screams like a rabid baboon when i open it up. Some people daily drive their truck 20k a year so they dont want migraines. I also dont like pissing off my neighbors Edited by Chris

Well when I lived in town my nabour was a 80year old Canadian Vet and I asked him if my exhaust bothered him he said nope I think it sounds good might need you to tell my old lady to to let her let me pipe my truck. But I also shuvled his drive way and side walks in the winter and wouldnt let him pay me and I did that kida stuff for all my nabours so they didn't care if I got little wild once and while it if my trucks were loud as hell. Butbwas also very respectful at 5am leaving to work. Last I was told he died witch is to bad be put his live on the line in world war 2.

I don't think it needs any explanation as to why I would want free flowing intake and exhaust = benefits all the way around.

The keeping it quiet? Chris nailed that one - I don't want to hear loud exhaust all of the time. This is my dd and I put a lot of miles on it. When you've been around loud shit your entire life and already have tinnitus, loud ain't fun all of the time.

Well every truck I've owned has bin either glass packs or straight pipes my 13 didn't even have 1000km on it when it was straight piped. I like loud exhaust so when there's nothing on the radio I just put the windows down and like to listen to my exhaust and I put a lot of miles on in my old piped 94 Chevy before I was laid off in the patch.

I've you lived in MA, you'd have a driving record like mine, LOL.

Took me a few years before I decided to start buying stealthy performance exhausts, instead of throwing the cats and muffler in the trash & running straights. Now when I pass cops, they don't even turn around!

I have a 2-page record from those days ... MA doesn't let ANYTHING slide.
