Feedback on taillight bezels

I saw a Sierra in my neighbourhood the other day with a set of these tail light bezels. I sort of like the style and reminds me of the way rear tail lights used to be divided into sections on cars/trucks back in the 60's and 70's...I think the newer Fords sort of have this look.

What's everyone's take on it? I know that there is a lot of ppl on this site that have the opinion that if it never came with the truck originally then it shouldn't be put on the truck, and especially if it's chrome, and doubly especially if there is any adhesive involved :)

I kinda like em, those ones look clean and aren't overdone... I've never seen a set that look good with my 800 taillights though :dunno:

I am not one for bezels either, the suggestion of upgrading to the denali light is a good one, even though more expensive.

Is this the Denali tail light you are talking about? I like the way the light is separated between the brake, tail, and reverse lights... sort of like the way the bezel does it, just factory..... I don't know why GM don't do this to all of their trucks.... then again there is a lot GM does that I don't understand sometimes :)

They put that on the Denali to differentiate it from the rest of the GMC trucks. Pretty simple honestly.

I like chrome but those are a little to much for me. If it was just a perimeter bezel without the center part I would buy it.

I was sizing up my tail lights and decided that the bezel wouldn't look right.... don't know about anyone else's tail lights but mine are flush with the body, so to put any bezel on there would look stupid because IMO would be sticking off and look completely out of place.. The one in the pic I posted first looks like it fits flush with the body panel but mine definitely wouldn't look like that above..

@MikeNH... I know why GM put these lights on the Denali.. I get the whole "we have to make a few things look different than the bottom line truck considering the price we charge for a Denali".... I guess my statement was more to the fact that GM sometimes cheaps out on a lot of things where Ford, Dodge, Toyota, and Nissan doesn't, some things should just be standard equipment on vehicles these days...things like USB inputs, Bluetooth connectivity and stuff like that.... GM are getting better but they got a ways to go to catch up.... they make some beautiful high end stuff like the Denali, Corvette, Cadillac which have all the bells and whistles but those bells and whistles don't come cheap. I see cars like Kia who are putting in more creature features as standard equipment on all their lines, top to bottom....time for GM to stop gouging and be competitive....

Well to be fair to the best of my knowledge none of the fullsize trucks offer standard USB hookups or Bluetooth. Trucks are one of the only vehicles where you still can have some say in options. Cars it's all trim packages- like Chevy with say a Malibu LS, LT and so on whereas on trucks you can still mix and match do some degree.

And I know styling is subjective but that awful chrome garbage on the F150 tail lights is one of the reasons I have a Chevy sitting outside. If I bought the Ford I'd have to get Raptor/FX4 tails and headlamps with the smoke/blackout trim in place of the chrome.
