So earlier today much to my chagrin noticed about 3 or 4 small hail dings on my hood that probably came from a storm we had about a week ago. Does anyone know of DYI way to get rid of them? They're annoying the hell outta of me, but I don't want to spend the money to fix them since the cost to repair them would probably be less than my insurance deductible. Ill try to get pics up of them later its too sunny for them to show in a picture right now.

Call a paintless dent repair person. DIY might mess things up even worse. My truck went thru a hail storm a few years ago. Body shop used a paintless repair guy and you could not even tell where the dents were.

I had about 250 hail dings taken out of my truck a couple of years ago by the paintless dent repair guy. I think the bill was like $2300, but covered by insurance. I was at the Acura dealer with my wife's car last night, and saw an advertisement poster for paintless dent repair 'Starting at $59.99'. Don't know what is included for that price, but it would steer me away from trying it myself.

another vote for paintless dent removal..

several weeks ago the oil change monkeys at the local Goodyear shop backed my Avalanche into their toolbox and put 2 dents in my tailgate.. I had paintless remove them (and several door dings from other buttheads) $85 for the first and $15 for each additional just over $200 (yes goodyear paid for the 2 they caused).

You can't tell at all where the dings were, overall I am very happy with the results, and it only took a 1/2 a work day to get it done plus he was mobile so did it at my office while I was working so no time without the truck..
