I have a 2000 silverado last night I noticed that the power locks on the drivers side are not actually locking the truck. You can hear them working just like the passenger side when pressing the buttons but the only way to actually lock/unlock the door is through the key or manual slide. I've searched for this issue but did not turn up these conditions with a resolution.

So I noticed the actuator seems to be part of the latch but haven't removed it to find out for sure.

Has anyone had this issue?

Do I just have to replace it or is there something in there that can be worked on?

Realized I could see a picture of the part on rock auto. The end tab had broken off and therefore needed a new motor. Installed one from a 2000 impala, had to remove the lock position sensor from mine ( pried with a flat-head) and taped it to the new one.

All is well now though I do need to bend the rods that go to the plastic manual slides so they will work a little smoothing I feel there is a tad bit of binding up there.
