Steering stabilizer on stock suspension

Recommended Posts

im getting a lot of feedback in my steering with the 35" tires, and Im wondering if I can install a steering stabilizer without a lift kit? If so, who makes the kit? I cant find anything anywhere. All I can find is for trucks with 4" or 6" suspension lifts.

Im running a 3" BL and leveling keys. Otherwise its a stock front suspension.

I think what he means is basically a shock for the steering.

It should help, look at the brackets on the ones for lifted trucks, you may be able to modify some, or maybe even make some. They aren't that complicated, but you know how that goes.

Yeah, Im gonna have to sped some time under the truck and come up with a plan before I order anything.

what do you mean by feedback? a steering stabilizer will help fix wheel hop...

No it wont, a steering stabilizer controls front wheel kick in the steering wheel when hitting bumps in the road etc.

I had a kit on my 03 Silverado and it bolted right up to the stock suspension. I can't think of the name right now but will look into it for you. It helped out alot on mine when I had 33" tires on it.

Ill do some more checking, but that one says "not for stock height vehicles". But thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Edit,

Just pulled it up on BDS website, and the numbers match up with the kit for a stock truck. Dont know why the disclaimer says otherwise. Thanks again.
