Update on Repair of My Corvette

Well, many of you've read about my car getting hit by that dang deer Nov 16th. Luckly i'm fine and didn't get hurt. The car on the other hand suffered $11k in damage    

 

So, the car has basically been sitting for quite a while waiting for the insurance co to move. Finally this week things started to move very quickly!

I went down with a friend and we took a look

Not much to say other than

 

 

 

Cars build sheet on top of the gas tank, still in mint condition

It will be good as new soon and you will be out breaking traffic laws again when the weather gets nicer

(BTW, it doesn't look as bad as the GMC I can see through the window in the body shop)

That looks like a Thunderbird missing it's entire front clip in the last picture Mervz.  Anotherwords it could've been worse...not only because you'd have needed an entire front end, but also cause you'd have been driving a ford.

You've got it wrong CMNT, that's the GMC Shaners is reffering to. (I think)

 

It looks quite tall for a Thunderbird and it has the GMC wheels.

Those didn't look like GMC wheels.  And anything looks tall when it isn't shrouded in sheetmetal.

I think cmnt is correct.  I thought it was a gmc also at first but if you go back and look there is a spot and it doesnt say gmc.  Also a friend had a thunderbird and those look like the rims

No, I've actually zoomed in on them and they are GMC wheels.  They looked like the T-Bird "fan" wheels, but those in effect are fullsize GMC wheels, so that's either a Yukon or Sierra.  Also the windshield is no where near as raked as a T-Bird's would be.

And as I look at engine components, that Overflow tank is identical to mine.
