I have bad insomnia when I don't have Ambien. I'm out right now and having it filled by the VA takes 2 weeks. I've been sleeping 7 am-12 pm

No fun there, I've been through more than a few sleepless nights. My problem is more getting to sleep (brain won't shut off), once I'm out I'm good, but then it's usually only a few hours before I have to be up again so no real advantage for me.

 

So to stay on topic, are we going to be PM'ed or you think they'll start a thread to introduce the new mods?

Bit to the sleepless thing. I have a social worker I see at the VA for ptsd. We do a weekly group and we we talking about sleep. It came up on how we were sleeping and I made the comment that when the mind won't rest taking some Ambien is like walking into the garage and shutting it off at the breaker. And I slept better when I drank a lot.

Well hope all goes well to get your meds refilled on time, I'm working referrals right now that were SUPPOSE to be done a week ago. I got them in the mail Friday and you guessed it...they're wrong...ugh!!!

It is slow.

 

I recently interviewed for a job for a heart failure clinic nurse practitioner position. The interview went very well.

 

However, they told me if they wanted to offer me a job that it would be about 2 months before I would get the offer. It would then be another 6 months before my credentialing would go through, and then I could begin work.

 

It was for part time work, and I found me a full time position anyway elsewhere.

The healthcare may be free for me because I have a disability rating from the VA, but I do not wish anyone had to go through their healthcare. Its backed up, nothing is on time, and the thing I hate most is I can't use my own pharmacy. My meds get sent to me UPS from the hospital 2 hours south of me. The VA clinic here in town can't fill my medications
