Spectre air intake.

I put a spectre intake on my 2010 silverado about a month ago. And it keeps making my engine light come up randomly. The error code says something about sys too lean. I have been clearing the code and it will go for a couple weeks then the light will come back on. Its starting to piss me off. Any assistance?

Put stock back on or you can clean your MAF Sensor, and while your at it, clean the throttle body too. Remember to disconnect the battery for a bit.

It will basically re-boot itself then possibly clearing the error

You likely have a leak somewhere in the intake system. Check all your hoses and clamps for security.

Did you use an oiled filter? Oil on the MAF will cause a "bank lean" code.

ya the filter is oiled.

Oiled filters are pretty saturated from the factory, probably just need to Clean the MAF sensor and re-tighten all the connections (everything stretches out and gets a bit loose a couple weeks after the install and needs a final tightening of all connections)
