Speaking off Best Buy, my Pioneer receiver I bought there died about 15 minutes ago. Sub output & video passthrough still fully functional, but barely any power to the speakers. Volume about 1/4 what it should be and they sound tinny. Receiver smells funny too. Not sure whats up, maybe it just couldn't handle my jams. This happened with only the front speakers and sub active. :dunno:

Now I'm looking at cordless impacts, and it doesn't help that they have awesome reviews

They wired it wrong and the wires are probably burning. They ruined my Buick with their shoddy skills.

This is the receiver in my house Sarah. All amplified signals aren't amplified like they should be. I took it to the store and they're shipping it back to Pioneer to fix it. For free I hope. If not I'll buy a Sony unit or something.

Anyone have any insight when a insurance company will total a vehicle? Never had one with this much damage and really never looked into it.

I think they have to send out one of their employees to evaluate the damage and then they make the call on if it is totalled or not

Yes they do but I was wondering if there is a percentage they go by, say if the damage is over 70% of the value of the vehicle

Depends on the insurer. A friend who runs a body shop has seen 85%+ and still repaired if memory serves.

My damage was close. About $8000 back in 2010 and it was repaired

My uncles old ranger was $50 worth of damage away from being totaled when he t-boned someone who blew a red light then hit a pole and that was over the original paint colors (dark blue and silver) or a graphics package that saved it and it went all the way to 220,000 before an owner after him rolled it

Im sure it depends on vehicle make model year and mileage also. We will find out soon enough I guess. My wife's 06 Envoy Denali got hit on Monday and there is damage from rear bumper to front bumper down the drivers side. I'm guessing in the 8K range for repair.

Well the totaled the Envoy... I asked them whats the % of which they use and they said if its 75-80% of the vehicles value. So I guess the wife get to go car shopping.
