I had to share this deal.

I am upgrading my battery setup on my new truck to run dual Odyssey batteries. I allready had one from my old truck, and am putting in another to match in this truck , so i will have double the cranking power , etc.. Anyway When I just saw the price on odyssey website, i almost puked! http://shop.odysseybattery.com/p/pc1220-a?pp=12 $360!

So i went searching and Found it on amazon for $320 ish

For the heck of it I checked ebay and found it for $249.98!!!!! Brand new, FREE SHIP! According to the picture it looks like the previous design, as the new one has built in plastic handles and this one had rope handles, it appears, but the performance specs you cannot beat for the price and reputation! 680 CCA @ 0 Degrees! Most other batteries are testing at 32 degrees. I grabbed one right away! Heres the link

If anyone is loooking for a battery or might be coming up in a year , grab this deal now before it is gone! I cannot stress how good the odyssey battery is and treated me great in my old truck.

This is for the PC1220, which shows works for my 2012 silverado.

Thanks for the heads up Jerry, I'm not going to go the battery route right now, but I did get the backup bulbs we talked about. Watched them for a month or so and caught them for $22.99 shipped!! Got the day before I left on this trip, installed them right away and they do make a difference. :jester:

Awesome! Great to hear, and sounds like a great deal! I love LED's... wait til you see my new LED addition for the front of the truck.

Sears Platinum is made by Odyssey. You can catch them at $189 or so every few months. We use them on all our equipment that have large electrical loads. They outlast anything else.

I checked sears earlier, Closest they showed in a AGM was $180, plus tax and core that brings it to over $200. For the price I paid, i am extremely happy.

I would use caution with buying batteries online. I also did this on ebay in the past too. The seller I purchased mine from stated they were not selling old stock but infact that is what I got. One of the two batteries I purchased went bad a year later.

Amazon is a very good site to buy from and if it were me looking at doing this I would spend the $70.00 more and get it from them.

How old is the one you aready have?

It is a risk, but thats why I love paypal, and the power of feedback. I'm allready assuming this battery is going to be the older model since the one on odyssey website is the newer plastic handles, and this one appears to be the rope handles. I believe it should be here tomorrow so I will find out. But if it turns out to be crap they sold, Then I will get paypal involved.

I'd rather gamble the $70

The battery from my old truck was in there for approx 2 years or so.. According to Odyssey specs, This should be at the start of its life so its not like im putting and old with a new. If it were 4-5 years old I would buy 2 but this should work great.

Basically positive to positive and negative to negative. I'm having a shop do it for me tho. They are wiring the dual batteries and setting it all up with 1/0, and doing the Big 3 at the same time. This way I will have plenty of power to run anything. They are a shop I have gone to for years and trust when doing important electrical stuff.

Once I have this done I will be all setup for wiring my LED rigid D2 lights, amp /sub, 12v compressors.on vacation in 2 weeks. Cant wait. Lots to catch up on.

I got the battery today. And I am happy to report it is indeed a new battery, and the new design. I thought fro sure the cheap price meant the older model with rope handles. Here is a pic of the top of battery with sticker showing date code.

12 March 12. I am not sure how they date their batteries but to me it looks like its 13 months old.

That would be correct. Which for this design style battery its not an issue.
