If you can't use coolant line on the new TB, why not use a 1 piece coolant hose? Save $$. It's not like your going to be hooking anything back up again

Posted

I may hook it back up once every 2 years for emissions testing

i got my bypass kit in today. Just a brass hose coupler and 2 hose clamps.

To the wheels

I just need it for the new manifold

I will run a turbo if I move out of a communist state. I have seen what turbo 6.0 can do but it was a big front mount

If I had a dmax I would twin turbo that, but if I were to go the forced induction route on a 6.0, I would do a roots or twin screw blower

Im looking into the twin screw route later on. But for now just a little more compression and small cam. The cam in this truck is pathetic

oh you know. i know that you know.

blowers are a thing of the past IMO, they make power. but parasitic on the low end tq, turbos are much more efficient and can create FAR more usable more reliable power. ive been in a RCSB 4.8 with a blower only running 9psi and it was down right ridiculous!!! and super cheap to build!!

screw the emissions, gotta be some way out of that chris...i talk with lots of guys on DF that are from cali running straight pipes. i wonder how they get it done?

Im not sure in Cali, but in VA Im pretty sure if it is registered as a "Truck" with Truck tags, then you do not have to go and get emissions done

Kinda like how they don't show the fuel mileage for HD trucks on the window sticker

Light duty trucks (3500 and below) and cars are checked thoroughly. Sometimes a friend owns a shop or you pay extra under the table. But I dont have those kinds of friends
