14..since it wasn't a "half and half" year truck like the 1999, 2007, etc.

Ok, but please vote (so later people don't have to scroll down and read all the posts. ha)

X2. I hate the NBS naming cause no one uses it the same way. Too many generations of trucks now so it needs to go. But do we know this chassis is actually GMT1000? Because the 88-98 was GMT400 then 99-07 was 800. Not always sequential.

GMT 1000 makes no sense since this is the K2 platform

GMT 1000 sounds best to me

If that's not what it's called then it'd be silly to call it that.

I hereby declare the new trucks be called the GMT1000000.

K2XX is it's official GM designation, Why the Fu%k would anyone call it anything else

I was under the impression that the X's in K2XX were placeholders and we were still waiting to hear an official number designation..?

I was thinking the same thing.

Kinda like Airbus's A3xx and Boeing's 7x7 range of aircraft. Although those were original designation before its entry into service. Kinda late now for GM.

    • This is for those over 70 years of age contemplating joint replacement surgery involving general anesthesia. Even some 55 yrs. ago when I took my pharmacology class the dangers of developing dementia in the elderly that had general anesthesia were beginning to be recognized. Over the years there has been some refinement in the cautionary warnings, avoid general anesthesia if possible if you've had close to 10 priors, especially over the age of 70 and/or a family history of dementia. I'm not including the twilight anesthesia induced by propofol often used in cytoscopies or colonscopies. Seriously think about seeing a neurologist and undergo cognitive testing before proceeding if any of those criteria apply to you. Spinal anesthesia may be an option in some cases. I'm in the above camp and although I could use a new right knee, I get fidgety according to a prior orthopedic surgeon when the bone saw spools up or maybe it was the smell of saw blade meeting bone, anyhow I may have one general anesthesia left in me which I will pocket for now and I'm choosing mind over mobility, anyway where did I leave my damn cane!

    • First time it really happened to me was when I was 69 yrs old and I was called "Old Timer" by a complete stranger. Then in rapid succession came the aforementioned "Old Man" and my favorite of all "Pops".
    • Yea that's pretty normal to be off a few degrees after sitting.  Usually 2-4 degrees from say a weather app or thermometer.  I've seen it a bit more if you are parked facing the sun too when its really hot out.
