My SLT All Terrain Dealer and Silver Lake Experience

So, I got it a few weeks ago now. When I bought it there were these rust dust speckles on it that I guess you can call rail dust. No big deal though, it was missed and my dealer took care of it right away, shining now. Other than that I just wanted to post some pics for you guys to check out and let you know that it took it to the dunes this weekend! Got up test hill with ease! I'm pretty sure I was the only one with a 2014, so many sick trucks out there though...

Yea i didn't mention how i did that to the bottom guard there. Hit a sand dune hill too fast and bottomed the front end out..really not much clearance there....need to jack it up...any suggestions on a fix? I was going to simply take it off instead of replacing it....

Looks great. I plan to clay bar mine tomorrow to get the rust specs out.

That's what they did to mine. It should come "clay bared", it's a brand new truck.

You need to teach mike how not to get stuck up there. Maybe he needs a 2014

I missed my groups annual trip because of work this year. Probably wont be going back this year. I won't have any free time till after Labor Day and by then overnight camping in a tent sucks.

Good Idea! Always remember you guys that at most dealers the guys in the wash rack (usually teenage kids who drive to work in a old Honda)are usually the weakest link at a dealership. You should always plan to give a vehicle a clay bar treatment and a good coat of wax ASAP after picking it up!

I prefer simply not to let the wash bay guys touch the vehicle at all. The last two new vehicles I bought (GM and Ford), it appeared they washed it with a dirty rag as the paint was scratched to hell. I polished it out myself but I'd prefer that the first hands touching the paint are my own.

this may help in future. Does not help on new delivery.
