My fuel mileage averages have increased a tad since I last updated. The 25-mile average is up to 25.0 mpg, and the 50-mile average is up to 23.8 mpg. Best overall tank is a shade over 20. I, too, noticed the slow response on the first 1/2" or so of peddle press. I'd imagine it's from the ECM tuning for taking off. Is is different with the t/c turned off? I ask b/c I've not even thought to try that until now.

That is the first thing my wife said when she drove it. Man, you really have to step on the peddle to get it to move. I imagine that they have it programmed that way for gas milage reasons. It would be interesting to hear from someone that has a tuner, like the diablosport, that would be able to adjust those settings and see what they think.

havent lifted it yet going to see if the tires will fit stock. up in Fort McMurray

The 5100s can lift the front by as much as 2.75. Easy install and easy on front end. And the ride is much, much better than stock ranchos or GMs oem.

Every truck out there does that from the factory, except the Ram's with air suspension.

Yeah, the dead spot in the throttle is weird, but I got used to it. Now when I drive my wife's Equinox, the throttle feels touchy.

Traded - both crew cabs short bed

2012 Silverado LTZ -- 2014 Silverado 2LZ:

 

Better ride, both have 20" stock wheels - 2012 highway tires Goodyears, 2014 Goodyear on off road

2014 Much, much quieter in cabin - you have to experience it to believe it

Throttle flat spot noted but quickly got accustomed to it and changed my foot pressure - no issue

Rear doors are huge in 2014

More cabin room

More storage room and compartments

DIC improved

Overall no comparison, like a completely different truck.
