06 chevy 2500 duramax exhaust

Alright just bought a 06 chevy 2500 duramax. I want to make it sound pretty badass, not over due it but when I get on it I want ppl to no and when I'm idling just a nice rumble sound. I just bought a house am I'm getting married in 3 weeks so money is very tight. Some of my buddies say I should just straight pipe it. What you think and what is the best way going about it

MBRP has some nice diesel systems. If it was my truck I'd just replace the factory muffler with a Magnaflow diesel model.

no it wont. it will make it sound badass, this isnt the 1960's when diesels ran mechanical air-blast injection systems. its the 20th century, he has an 06. which has a variable geomoetry turbo, which sound really nice with a straight pipe. With proper tuning you can almost make a new diesel silent at idle, tuning tactics like pilot/post injection really quiet down the idle. As well playin with vane position.

 

heres mine with 5" straight pipe, also diff headers, air to air pipe and a 4" downpipe. 4" sounds alot mellower, MBRP or diamond eye make the best systems IMO mine is MBRP.

 

this was before it had twins too, so it would sound almost identical to urs.
