Hey guys, my 05 2500HD with the 6.0l 4x4 (172,000miles) has some up and down play in the driveshaft by the transfer case, what causes this? Is it a common problem? There are no leaks anywhere so I'm stumped. Mines kind of like this but not nearly as bad http://youtu.be/Mt-6Y9rbzYw. Anybody else have this issue. It cause a slight clunk noise when taking off or stopping on the road, is there a bad bearing?

normal movement, you have a dry slip yoke into the rear of t case output ,lube the splines ,this is causing the clunk,,do a search here

Alright, man I was worried I'd have to get a reman or a new t-case but if that's all there's to it not a problem

So do I just pull the driveshaft from the t-case and then pack grease in there?
