I called today. They said middle of next year. So probably late spring early summer. Not sure about the normal shocks.

I don't know if Bilstein is going to change the design at all for 2014 or if they're just slow updating their stuff. It looks like their offroad catalog hasn't been updated since about 2011.

I haven't been happy with the Ranchos so I couldn't wait. I installed the 2013-style rear 5100's already. Very nice improvement. They're about 1/2" longer as well so if you've added a thicker block (like the 2.5" RC kit has) they should keep you from topping out the rear suspension offroad as easily.

I may order a set of fronts here pretty soon unless they confirm they're actually changing the design somehow.

Do you have the part number you ordered?

My 09 1500 4x4 5100s were:

rear F4-BE5-E377-HO

Front adjustable for height: same except E376-HO

4 wheel runs sales on them from time to time. Cannot say enough about how nice they are. I think better than the Bilstein yellows and way better than ranchos or any oem.

I have the 5100 rears and adjustable height 5100 fronts in my 08. Very happy with them. My 2014 All Terrain has the Rancho factory shocks. The Rancho are much stiffer valving. For ride comfort, the 5100 is the way to go. Guys that drive a bit aggressive off-road may prefer the Rancho.

I will say that my 08 v max nht had the z60 large diameter shocks, same as the z71 and they were way too soft on the valving. The front end would get into a bouncing cycle on some of the freeway overpasses and get nearly out of control. 5100s fixed that.

As to whether the gmt900 front 5100 shock fits the K2, I have been looking at other manufacturers catalogs and they all seem to show different shocks for the K2. Even Procomp shows a different adjustable height shock for the K2. The K2 cab has been pushed forward over the engine and the hood is shorter. This may have increased the front weight on the suspension. If so, the springs would be stiffer and shock damping/valving should also increase with weight/spring increases. So even if they fit, the valuing/damping may not be correct for the front.

Until Bilstein comes out with a new front 5100 for the K2, I'm sticking with my Rancho shocks.

New Info: Rancho shows their "Quick Lift Loaded" full coil spring/shock assembly as the same p/n for the 2013 and 2014, but they exclude the z71 on both years for some reason. But keep in mind that the Rancho Quick Lift Loaded has an adjustable damping setting knob. So, they may just let the user compensate for any extra damping to his desires.

so the bilsteins for the 13's do in fact fit the 14s?

My take is 'yes'.

I called Rancho yesterday. They confirmed that their Quick Lift Loaded RS999901 fits 2007-2014. So, a Bilstein for a 2007-2013 will physically fit.
