She's Paid For

Figured I'd take care of my bills as my money in my savings wasn't doing a whole heck of a lot interest-wise.  So I wrote the check and paid blue off today.  Now I'll replenish the savings with my monthly payment savings, and maybe take some of the remainder of the savings and put it in another cd.  Now just waiting for a house to come in closer on the horizon.

Im about to get a big loan to live on while I go to school, so Im gonna pay off what I owe on mine (6k or so) outta that to save me from some interest $

Now I'm just hoping we get that temp of 38 and some sun tomorrow so I can get a thorough washing in.  The truck hasn't been given my usual level of attention in quite some time due to the salt/snow.

It is a great feeling not to have that payment. Congrats!

 

Now if you can only put that same payment away for a few months and not touch it. That can build a nice nest egg to add mods or do what ever.

Man, that must be nice.  I don't think I've ever NOT had car payments since I was 18!  The longest I've ever kept a vehicle was 3 years.  My wife claims I belong to the "car of the month club"!     Maybe this time I can actually keep one for a while after it's paid off.  I've got it timed so that both of our vehicles are paid off about the time I retire from the Air Force.  I hope to retire with nothing but a house payment so I not be so frantic finding a job when I grow up.
