Looking into a magnifier

Oh you have been through where I live. I dont mind the heat, it was a shock leaving San Bernardino at 75 degrees and hitting Phoenix at 105

ewww registration. Can't register what they don't know I have!

 

I'll have to remember to ask my buddy what he has on his AR. I know he has a red dot and some magnifier on a flip up/down(side) type of thingie. Only seen it once or twice setting up tree stands since I don't go shoot rifles with them when they go to the range.

PA or Primary Arms would be my vote for a 3X or 6X magnifier, can get a QD mount for it as well if you want, https://www.primaryarms.com/Primary-Arms-3X-LER-Red-Dot-Magnifier-Gen-III-p/pa3xlergeniii.htm. 100-130$, much less then the 450 for a Eotech/ Aim Point magnifier. Another option would be a SWFA/ Leupold Mark AR/ Vortex Viper PST 1-4 variable scope for the purpose, most those scopes are 13-17 ounces, vs 9oz for the Eotech + 10-12 oz for the magnifier + 2 X mounts. Just a different option. But PA would get my vote for magnification on a RDS/ Holographic for as much as most on here shoot.
