In CT Bought a 2014 Sierra Crew SB SLT Iridium

MSRP $48,875

OTD at $47,000 including CT tax @ 6.35, and fees

I probably could have gotten a little better of a deal but this was the only one within 300 miles of me in Iridium with a 40/20/40 front seat which I was looking for

2014 Denali sticker $56,700

OTD $53,500 w/tax, title, fees, no trade.

Figure around $9,000 off sticker which includes around $2,500+ for 0% for 60 mos. ($6,500 discount with 0% financing)

Local dealers did not have 6.2 in stock and were not willing to deal heavily on them.

Side note - I looked at '14 F-150 Platinum and they were not really dealing on them either.

The Ford lots around here are starting to look a little bare and you don't see the TV ads like you did a couple of months ago. Best guess is Ford went into this with lower inventory than they expected and the switchover is taking longer than hoped. Ford reported a less than stellar third quarter and said that fourth was going to be bad too.

Got my 2014 Sierra SLE Crewcab 4x4 in Alaska fully winterized for $38,000. Dealership sticker showed $48,000 so I think I guess I got a good deal. Was one of 2 left on the lot in July when I got it.

That's how I got such a good deal on my '06, bought it in Aug of '06 (Alaska truck as well). Mine was one of 3 left in CC configuration.

Anyone buy or deal with Laura Buick GMC in Collinsville? I pinged them on the new Canyons and they had much lower price than my local dealers as well as some pretty cool lifted trucks.

    • Today I filled up with 4.899 gallons of fuel at a cost of $4.899 a gallon. $24 bucks. 290 miles. 59.2 mpg. After my 4% COSTCO discount just under eight cents a mile.
    • Howdy folks,   Recently I pulled a heated steering wheel and clock spring out of a 2015 Sierra All Terrain (part numbers coming soon - will have to disassemble), and just installed it on my 2016 Sierra WT (as base model as it gets).   On install, I noticed that I’m missing the connector often tucked behind the dash for the heating element.     No problem… or so I thought.   I used an “Add-A-Fuse” at my heated steering wheel fuse location, which has voltage, but no wires. I ran it to the positive of the heated steering wheel (Violet/White), and took black to ground.   Hooked up the battery, turned the truck on - no heated steering wheel. No button backlights. Was pleased to see that my cruise control was working though.   Read a post suggesting reversing polarity, so I gave it a shot. Violet and White to ground, Black to power.    Aha! Heat! But I seemingly can’t turn it off AND still no backlights on any of the buttons.    Checked all fuses, everything is still in good order. I’m stumped.   Does anyone have any insight? If so, please share!
    • I'm about 1800 miles into my last oil change, and yesterday a message appeared saying oil life was at 77%. Not sure why it popped up but I think all of these electronics could be susceptible to solar flares or somesuch. I change my oil right at 3K each time, and that was the first time in 10870 miles that message came up. Strange thing is that it showed on the screen at all since I don't drive with that sort of info displayed on the DIC.

    • Checked the pads today and there's plenty of meat on them. If the message keeps coming up, I'll just answer YES that the pads were replaced and wait for the squeal.
