$14000 off every 2014 leftover Crew Cab in stock . On my way to check out a 4x4 with a $1500 Private offer in my pocket.

You must really suck at selling trucks if you still have left over 2014 inventory lol. Good luck on your search and hope you find something! Just keep in mind that on a 2 year old truck in fair condition it's worth about $30,000 for a loaded out LTZ and about $34-35 for one in excellent condition. So I wouldn't even begin to pull the trigger unless you were in the lower end of that ball park or lower. I mean shoot they've been making payments on those trucks for at least 12 months if not longer.

Well, just got off the phone after seeing and test driving the truck with the internet salesman, he had been working the final numbers on the trade back at his office all afternoon.

Truck was advertised at $24,675 "Up Front Price". Told me I was in great shape with my trade. Sticker on truck was $38675.

Trouble was, by the time they got done with their calculator, their "Back Door Price" had me at $33.4k and change,

And this was with 4000 Factory to dealer money, dealer money off , rebates, tag sale money, trade assist, bonus cash, and a $1500 Private Offer.

Needless to say, I passed.

I'm no finance expert like some here, but at almost any price I can't see why one would buy a 2014 now-the second you roll it off the lot you are driving a new car truck but with two years depreciation, no?

One great reason would be for someone who drives a ton of miles

....put 40k a year on the truck...now your selling a 3 yr old truck with 40k..seems resale would be better to me

Just looked at a 5.3L, CCSB, max tow, LT with leather, sticker was $49k, they offered it to me for $39.8k. But then asked me to take in the shorts on a trade-in, so I passed.

Try # 2.

Test drove 2014 new leftover Crew Cab 1W/T 2 WD tag sale truck. Rumble in the front end on the freeway at around 70- hoping it had to be the tires. Rumble went away at 75....and was non existent below 70.

So I'm thinking, ok, I might make a run at this.

Then I remember the fiasco I had with the wax coating-frame rusting on my 2011 and look underneath the "new" 2014.

Sure enough, the truck had 20 miles on it, and the wax coating was gone in a LOT of spots, lots of bare metal showing.

Salesman said he had never heard of the problem. Said they don't do touch ups on the frames.

Needless to say.........I passed on it.

I'm looking at $54,500 out the door on a '15 6.2L Denali Standard Bed (around $51,000 before taxes and plate fees)

MSRP: $59,975

Invoice: $55,900

Supplier: $55,800

Employee: $53,600

I'm on the fence whether to bite or not. I don't feel like I'm getting that good of a deal...it's only about $800 off Supplier pricing after factoring in rebates. The GMC guys say NO to my Silverado$1,500 PO.

I've got this down to $48,750 pre-tax. The truck includes the 6.2, standard bed, sunroof, and driver's alert package. 20" wheels I believe. It's out of state, but my local dealer can't come within $2,000. He says that's below cost, and I'd be crazy not to do it. I'm seriously considering it at this price. That's over $11,000 off MSRP.

if you're gonna keep it for many years one model year doesn't mean anything

2015 LT2 CC 5.3L truck and sticker was 46.. After 5 hours of dicking around I ended at 33,000 plus taxes, title, and the minimum 200 Doc fee. I never do a trade in.

My best friend scored on his Denali, but he is also GMS. His sticker was 58 and his GMS price was 43K... Lucky guy!

Crunched final numbers on a leftover 2014 GMC nicely optioned....now trying to get top buck for my trade..we're close.

Dealer with another one not as optioned up (that wouldn't budge in price a month ago) called and is now willing to deal. Thinking he's a little too late to the party.

Do y'all think the deals will get better than they are now? Looking for a CC SLT WDT. Local dealers don't seem to be coming down much. I can get the 20% off trucks for about ~42,000. Laura GMC has lots of SLTs for around ~39,000. Used trucks don't seem to be much lower than ~38,000.

Wonder if y'all would buy now or wait till later in the year.

On a 2015 they might get better at the holiday or end of year.

I am looking at a "new old stock" 2014 with 20 miles. GM washed their hands of rebates for the 14s and wrote the dealers a check. What the dealers do with that money is up to them. Helps on figuring sales tax too since there are no rebates involved.

Well I found one of them 20% deals - 2015 Sierra SLT, CCSB, max tow. I did it and paid just over $37k.

What was the MSRP on your new truck? Congrats!

    • Even tougher is the 5.0 / 302. That's what this one has.    https://postimg.cc/Z9XRrCSg   https://postimg.cc/4n3F3yzY   Just realized I had the airbox removed in the engine pic, lol.
    • Yep! This should be a pin somewhere as @pgamboa really dives into all of this. Thanks for reposting the link!
    • I did the new thermostat after doing a 'flip' for a year. Runs as cool one way as the other in the summer but in the winter there is a bit of a floor. Yellow with the new 70 C thermostat. My data over the life of the unit to date. Still need more cooler. Anyway that floor helped both winter fuel economy and shift quality in the winter. I found it a good balance.
    • Evan Williams Bottled in Bond   So pouring the last of a bottle of Evan Williams Black label last night I set off the the state store for a refill only to be denied the by an empty shelf. Rats.    What the did have was a bottle of Evan Williams Bottled in Bond. 100 proof. Hum, a few bucks more but a known distiller. Lets have a swing at it. ( I have before )    Cracked it open and pour a serving over ice. Hum.... more heat, yes. More alcohol naturally. But the barreling not the proof brings the taste and this one came up short.    Oh is was familiar but the heat ran the barrel over like a Peterbilt runs over a squirrel. Could use a heavier toasting of the oak me thinks or perhaps a longer barreling. Who knows. But what I can say is ice or a water back isn't the answer. What kills one kills them both. Sad. It is a pleasant drink....if you have little to compare it to.
    • I've had exactly one set of Bridgestone. Lasted five year and 125,000 miles and had I known better 15oK would have been a cake walk. I would have bought a like set had they not tripled in price since the first set. I removed them at said mileage with 5/32" remaining in dead even wear all four. They were fuel efficient, quite, comfortable and predictable.    Early on I got a very good alignment checked at least once a year, sometimes twice; kept the tires properly inflated, balanced and rotated. And I've found that many a tire issue can be avoided with great maintenance practices. Lot's of tire dealers will do rotation and balance (simple) for free for as long as you own the tire they sold you so no excuse not to.    Bead prep, alloy integrity and stem health have a huge impact on inflation stability. There are more mountings done poorly that perfectly. Finding a good tire guy is gold and as important as finding a tire you like.    That 3X price increase now two sets of "other tires' later is starting look like a bargain.      Bad maintenance kills more tires than bad tires.
