$12k off a $49k truck is ~25% off the MSRP. How are you able to get the price lower than 20% MSRP? Are there other incentives that can be stacked with the 20% of MSRP deal?

I bought my first GMC SLT w/ Nav, AC/heated seats, level kit, spray in bed liner, tinted the front windows, and a quad fold hard cover with the caddy ---if you haven't seen this check it out, it's a Steffens fold a cover with caddy. ANYWAYS, NO! they are not suppose to stack incentives, especially on the 20% with out GM getting involved. I am not sure all the stipulations on this but I have been looking and spent a lot of time for 4-5 months looking and calling. Here is the short of my ordeal. After taking with a dealer and not getting the truck for any less than a little over $45 with the add ons...a week later had 4 advertised for $37k plus all the bull crap and accessories, the week before I offered around $3k more with out all the accessories. So when I saw this offer I called right then and was pretty upset when all 4 had sold in a couple,of hours. So I told them, Hey. That wasn't right. I had just told you guys the week before that I really like the way you guys were non pressuring and helpful and since we could not make it work out please give me a call if you could get any closer to my price and a week later you sell 4 of them for $3k less. I feel like I was done wrong. He apologized said he didn't know till it was over, blah blah blah. My response was "as a sales manager your going to tell me you didn't know, well thanks if any thing else comes available like that please me know. His response shocked me. Yes sir, Mr. Cagle. Sorry about that. Your right I should have called because I knew I just didn't think about it. That made me feel a little better but was bummed that those trucks were gone for that price. Oh and here is the thing, the get gone gone fast around here with JUST the 20% off msrp. I found 2 other but ended up at 44-45k w/my accessories minus the cover I was going to put on then. A few days later they give me a call and here it is...I paid $38,xxx for the truck w/spray in bed liner added tint, level kit and $1400 bed liner and my bottom line was $41k bottom, out the door. But the other places were $$2k-2,500 more. When I looked into it they said the only way they could be doing it was stacking incentives which GM does not allow and something would eventually be done about it. And the 20% off msrp offer goes quick so if you find one and can get it for $42k or less. GRAB IT!

Some solid negotiating on my end and some math rounding. I was probably closer to 22-23% off MSRP.

Yes, Labor Day usually has the best deals of the year. It's their last chance to push out current model year inventory. September is also Truck Month

Being Labor Day is fast approaching I'm sure Chevy and GMC should have some killer deals. Any thoughts.

I didn't do as well as some but better than others. They did not have the 20% off at the time, but I managed to get about 9k off of sticker. The dealers were willing to deal more on other trims, but not on the Denali's. And that was after looking at several dealerships. Part of the issue is location. I am in Northern Va, just South of DC. So prices on everything are higher!

In the end, I feel good about the truck I bought, do not feel like I was taken, and have a good relationship with a local dealer. I think all of that s what makes for a good experience.

The best deals may be later than normal this year because the rollout of the 2016's is so late.

MSRP $53340. I paid without tax, title and lic. $41500. With 2% financing. And this was in early May. If you look on auto trader the prices are better than anywhere else that I could find.

I just bought my first truck...ever. Chevy had a "silent sale" and they were trying to move 9 trucks. I bought a 2015 Silverado Crew Cab with LT1, All Star Package, etc. Sticker was $43,060. I got it for $200.00 above employee pricing (below supplier pricing), plus $7,000 in rebates for a price of $31,249. I had them add the spray in bed liner for $395, so it came out to $31,644 (before taxes and DMV). I feel I got a pretty good deal on the truck. I did have to finance with ally for 3.19 to get $1000.00 rebate, but I'm going to refi as soon as the loan closes at 1.9 though my credit union, which is the best rate they were offering had I not taken the 1000.00 anyway. Please tell me I got a good deal! Loving the truck so far!

Anytime you can get a new truck for 27% off the MSRP is going to be a good deal. You did well! I got mine for about 25% off this time last year.

Wow, I'm seeing how people get these amazing deals and I'm just here cringing at the deal, or lack of, deal I got.

I came to the dealer looking for my first new truck and ended up paying sticker price for a 2014 GMC Sierra regular cab.

Even after a $4500 rebate and 4.5% interest rate.

It's all my fault for not HEAVILY researching prior to the purchase.

Just joining the forum, been lurking for several months. I'm in NC as well, mind pointing me to the dealer you got this awesome deal from?? I've been looking at Silvys exclusively....but after my last few experiences at the dealers in my area I'm looking at the Sierras. PM me if you will, thanks

I'm sorry I didn't join the forum before I bought, or I would have negotiated for more discounts hearing that folks are getting 20% off on average.

I looked around for several weeks when I was ready to buy to find the truck that had the specific equipment I wanted.

When I built it on the Chevy website it came out to $49200, and the one I found matched the estimate pretty close at $49,135 sticker.

Ended up getting a white Silverado LTZ with standard bed, 2WD and sunroof for about $9k off with discounts, rebates and down pmt assistance.

That works out to only 18% off, if my math is right.

Looking around at local inventory I did see what seemed like higher discounts on LT models, but since I wanted a sunroof I could only find it on LTZ or High Country.

    • Well that book won't sell many copies. Taking ones right foot off the loud pedal never gets applause. Funny really, It isn't that people don't know what to do...they just don't want to do it. But they will complain about it. About bad craftsmanship, about the cost of fuel, about the cost of part and repairs and mainly they complain that the solution while still possible isn't one they are willing to do.    I observe this daily. 'Gas cost to much!", they wail, while they mat it passing at 80+ mpg and scoot down the road like gas cost a dime a gallon. Then complain about the few that will lift and save both fuel and iron like they are owed and own the road.    Good thing they haven't an ounce of influence on my equipment. The rest I just laugh at. Stupid is as stupid does, right Forest?
    • Today I filled up with 4.899 gallons of fuel at a cost of $4.899 a gallon. $24 bucks. 290 miles. 59.2 mpg. After my 4% COSTCO discount just under eight cents a mile.
    • Howdy folks,   Recently I pulled a heated steering wheel and clock spring out of a 2015 Sierra All Terrain (part numbers coming soon - will have to disassemble), and just installed it on my 2016 Sierra WT (as base model as it gets).   On install, I noticed that I’m missing the connector often tucked behind the dash for the heating element.     No problem… or so I thought.   I used an “Add-A-Fuse” at my heated steering wheel fuse location, which has voltage, but no wires. I ran it to the positive of the heated steering wheel (Violet/White), and took black to ground.   Hooked up the battery, turned the truck on - no heated steering wheel. No button backlights. Was pleased to see that my cruise control was working though.   Read a post suggesting reversing polarity, so I gave it a shot. Violet and White to ground, Black to power.    Aha! Heat! But I seemingly can’t turn it off AND still no backlights on any of the buttons.    Checked all fuses, everything is still in good order. I’m stumped.   Does anyone have any insight? If so, please share!
    • I'm about 1800 miles into my last oil change, and yesterday a message appeared saying oil life was at 77%. Not sure why it popped up but I think all of these electronics could be susceptible to solar flares or somesuch. I change my oil right at 3K each time, and that was the first time in 10870 miles that message came up. Strange thing is that it showed on the screen at all since I don't drive with that sort of info displayed on the DIC.
