Poor investment advice. So you get roughly half that back on resale; you spend almost 4k more for 4wd, then more on insurance, more on financing, more on maintenance, more on gas as well as another level added of something expensive to break for what? An ego? To sell to another market of people? For every person that wants a 4wd there is a person that wants a 2wd, plain and simple. A person who wants heated leather seats and a sunroof but can only afford that in a 2wd probably won't step down to a cloth bench 4wd if they just aren't going to use it, especially down south. It isn't 90% 4wd truck sales, people buy 2wd up north as well. I think I saw it is like 55%/45% 2wd vs 4wd sales a few years ago (could be flipped, this is based on memory). Still, that is a large market that buys 2wd...

I live here, there are tons of 2wd. Other than the image conscious suburban box checker dads who want it to stroke their ego you see tons of lariat, platinum, high country, ect models that are 2wd. That is a myth, not to mention a dealer will take it on trade for fair value just as much as a 4wd.

My dealer, Covert GMC, has 10 Denali 4WD trucks in stock. They have 0 2WD Denali trucks in stock. They have been a GM dealer for well over 100 years here.

Is it a correct statement if you do not have a trade-in Laura GMC they tack on $1000

Yes, correct. Their price includes $1000 trade in rebate.

I just talked to One of the sale reps he said they no longer do that. The price is the price. How long ago doobs. He said they changed this a few months back. Not saying you are incorrect just making the water clear. I'm not flying all that way for any surprises big or small.

Gilly is right. I just bought a blue Denali. And although I think I did ok, the dealers were simply not dealing as much in these. I ended up gettin it for about 9k off of MSRP. Vehicle sticker was just under $59k and I paid $50k (plus TTF).

Nice truck and solid price....the closest Blue 6.2L to me is 2.5 hours away.....I would do it if I didn't have the trade....it's too much of a pain that far away....drove the 5.3 and for my needs it is fine....now it's just making the deal....

That was exactly what happened in my case Gilly. I actually located the vehicle about 150 miles away. It was the ONLY one for several hundred miles configured the way I wanted it. I went in to my local dealer - told them it was what I wanted, worked a deal, and then they went and got it. Don't get me wrong, I would have like to put those first 150 miles on myself, but the dealer was great and the transaction was done very professionally.

I haven't even driven the 6.2 because I know if I do I'll want it....

What are y'all getting off MSRP on Denali's with the 6.2L? Beck and Masten in Houston is offering me a Bronze Alloy 2WD with Sunroof, NAV, Driver Alert, Spray Liner and Trailer Brake Controller for $46,010. MSRP is $55,225.

I've been searching out here in the East (Between St. louis and New York and as far south as N. Carolina), and I'll be damned if I can find anyone other than Laura who will go below Supplier pricing on the 6.2L Denali w/ Standard Bed. There are just not that many out there with a standard bed and in the color I want. In fact one just told me today that they would not even give me supplier pricing if I was going to try and use the $750 credit union rebate, which is contrary to the other dozen or so dealers I talked to. They all give me the exact same price: Supplier - $4,250 (August incentives). Another I talked to yester wouldn't go below Supplier on a demo w/ $5k miles on it! The only differences are doc fees and the like. So far, Laura is the only one willing to get creative in this game.

As of now, it looks like I'm holding out for the September incentives and hoping they get better, or at least add some financing deals on the Denali.

Why not just buy from Laura and have it shipped? I have been looking for same truck 6.2 Denali standard bed.

Because I can't decide between the White Diamond, which Laura has, or the Bronze Alloy, which they don't! Such hard decisions...

I was actually working a deal on a White Diamond one and then I saw the blue in person - had to have it!

I did not buy mine there, I had just read that on their site in the past so perhaps I had outdated info. My bad!

I'm going out to Charlotte tomorrow morning to look at a Sonoma Red 6.2L Denali Standard Box 4WD with Sunroof, Nav, Brake Controller, etc. for $8,500 off the $58,500 sticker. If they can get me the payment and lease terms I want, It'll be in my driveway tomorrow evening.
