Oil catch can?

Is there a reason the way I mounted it wouldn't be just fine? Do I need to hook it to the wiper fluid reservoir? On another note, how are guys with the Airraid intake tube doing the clean side seperator install? The grommets that came with the airraid tube use 5/8 hose and the items for the clean side use 1/2 hose. I was able to squeeze the rubber seal on the passenger side but it's super tight. I'm sure it will stretch out over time with heat. And then the grommet that goes to the oil cap on the airraid tube also is for 5/8 hose but the supplied hose from elite is 1/2. Any suggestions?

No you can mouth the can however or wherever you want it... I don't think anyone cares lol. I did a 1/2" NPT pipe plug in the one hole on my Airaid tube and then a half inch NPT to 3/8" tubing 90 degree fitting. I put a short section of 3/8" tubing in the fitting and attached the rubber hose to it. Didn't use much of what they sent along really lol.

Sort of. We will say close enough to how I arranged mine. I tossed out a bunch of the stuff you guys sent to make a cleaner install at least for the separator side of things... and of course added a little bit of stuff too.

Go to good hardware store like Ace Hardware. They have a good selection of fitings.

None of those places carry this stuff. Industrial retailers would be the only way you will find it. Hardwares and home depot type places might have some brass stuff that will work. Otherwise maybe a truck parts place ( highway tractors) or plumbing and heating. Or Google compression fitting and find something wherever you live.

Those 2 pieces would work excellent! Even better than my tubing contraption lol. For esthetics I used a recessed steel conduit plug that sits flush into the tube for that one that faces the engine.

God you are making me second guess..... it might be 3/4" NPT actually lol. I would have to look at the truck and it's not here. I would say look at yours to be sure.

Here is how I mounted my new E2 Can from Elite. If you pop off the radiator shroud, there are some holes you can put a bolt through to make a nice mount. If you watch my most recent video too, it shows the location in more depth as well.

That looks nice! I need to get one, let me know if it is the right size. Right now I have two threaded stoppers that I found at ACE hardware. I can't remember what size I bought, but I just took the tube into the store and tried a bunch of fittings til I found one that worked.

But the ones I have are white, and kinda stick out like a sore thumb. lol
