I am also assured when I talk to tech support that I am a rare case that isn't happy with the unit and having issues lol.

I'm gonna be 'that girl' and bump this thread back up......

I just purchased a 2016 Canyon and trying to learn about all this Intellilink stuff. I'm finding some weird things.....

Since my truck is 'new' - I have the free trial WIFI hotspot. The truck is a roaming wifi connection. I get that....

My phone (iphone 6) is paired successfully.

So....when I get into the truck, after the phone connects...music starts playing out of my iphone. No apps are open or running. The Apple Music app (although, not open) is playing thru airplay. In order to correct this, I have to swipe from the bottom, and press Airplay and switch it to Intellilik. It'll play out of the speakers in the truck. Weird... So, we discovered (I think) that this is linked to Pandora somehow. Open up Pandora app and LOG OUT. Problem solved....although, you can't play pandora.

I tried this wilth Spotify also.....LOG IN and open Spotify ....same thing The phone is NOT plugged in (by the way)

I know that Airplay is based on WIFI....and not bluetooth. I'm suspicious that it defaults to AIRPLAY via the wifi and plays out of the phone. I might try to turn OFF / disable the WIFI hotspot and see if that helps. It might just default to the Intellilink like I expect it should.

Everything else seems to work pretty good after some 'learning'. I have an Ipod hooked up in console. Free XM trial....and pandora/spotify work good once I get them playing out of the speakers in the truck.

The other thing I'm confused about (and still learning) is the Navigation and saving 'Favorites'. Say for instance..... I want to save HOME as a location. Then - when I use the voice commands, I should be able to just say 'DESTINATION HOME" and it'll understand exactly where I want to go based on saving 'favorites''. I think someone at the dealership mentioned about making your own 'voice commands' attached to your contacts that you can upload into the system? I've searched and can't find anything about that.

I should be able to save 'favorite locations' and retrieve them later. I shouldn't have to verbally say or punch in the entire address every time. What's the point in that?

I just brought home my 2016 Colorado. At this point I can't give an intelligent critique of the Nav/radio/bluetooth because it is the most UNFRIENDLY device I have ever had. So far, I have wasted way too much time discovering that "HOME" is set in a rather weird way. It's routing is not the shortest or the fastest and I'm not sure what "EASIEST" means. This post is probably in the wrong forum section but this is where google sent me searching for "creating a route".

The system is not user friendly. I had things 'setup' pretty good where I could say "Destination Home" and it understood. But then, I went in for the Android Auto update and all my Nav settings & saved locations disappeared. ARGH!!!
