Did the OP get this problem resolved? I am also having the same problem, only on left turns. I have a feeling the dealer is going to try and say it is due to my leveling kit.

Sounds like a ball joint popping...??

Sorry to bring back an old topic, just wanted to say those with aluminum upper control arms make sure to have the ball joints checked before your warranty is up, at 70thou kms mine are shot, they can't just replace the ball joints either, has to be the whole control arm. Just a heads up.

guys, same issue here with my Leveled 4x4 sierra.

It does not do it all the time but there is some clicking ( best way to describe it ) when turning left or right

Car has to be stopped or barley moving.

Mine used to do it occasionally.... Been doing it since I bought it...I put a 1.5" leveling kit on it...it stopped...then I had an alignment...then it started doing it all the time so I brought it to the dealer and finally got them to hear what i v been talking about, iv brought it to 3 diff dealers and they all said " could not duplicate the problem" ridiculous. Anyways this time they said it was a damper and rings??? Idk about this...I'm extremely disappointed , I have a hefty car payment for a 43k $ truck and it makes a horrible popping noise that a little sh*t box would make...this is ridiculous , iv spent so much time and money driving to the dealer and missing time from work bringing it in to talk to them about it. This is my first GM and first american car iv ever bought and will be my last. Thanks chevy

I wonder if they have brought back the intermediate steering shaft problem our 2002 Yukon had? They disassembled it and greased the slip joint twice, it would be OK for about 6 months then start again. The 3rd time they replaced the shaft which fixed the problem. Popping sound also felt in the steering wheel when turning sharp left at low speed.

I don't think so, its something to do with rack and pinion, inner tie rod end ball joint, or control arm ball joint. A guy on another post had the same issue and the replace the upper control arm with the attached ball joint and the noise is gone. Its a loud pop from the passenger side and can be felt through the floor board. It sounds like something is binding and breaking free..

Yes the problem we had could be felt in the steering wheel and driver floor board.

I also just noticed a clicking sound when I turn the wheel at low speed. Best way to describe it is like a rock being stuck in the tire tread. I know if I go to the dealer whatever they find they will say its caused by my lift kit

The problem was found and fixed. It was the passenger side upper control arm bolt wasnt tight enough. Ridiculous that it came from the factory like that

    • Can ask that about a lot of places.   Holiday sells 91 for $1 over 87 octane. BP 93 is 80 cents. Amoco 93 is 80 cents Kwik Trips is $1.20 for 92 or whatever they have and $1 for the 91.   I know that this is not exactly same as what you are saying with the premium to premium debate of those two stations but why is there such a difference. Top Tier this and that, it's all BS. All the fuel comes from the same damn refinery, so give me a break.
    • Why does Mobil Premium cost 90 cents a gallon more than Shell Premium when their regular offerings are but pennies apart?
    • Was all the way down to $3.69 a gallon but then jumped back to $3.99 just because for some reason.   Diesel floats between $4.80's to $5.10ish a gallon. I even saw Diesel #1 for $6.09 today but nobody in there right mind even buys that in the summer.
    • Mine just keeps lagging or getting stuck on the reverse camera. When I turn off the truck, get out, and close the door it will still stay on. It’s very intermittent and I would not be able to duplicate the issue.
    • I was checking out fuel prices at my farm fuel retailer at their pumps and yes the farm price is a bit lower than the non dyed fuel and was glad to see that the regular farm gas price has dropped a lot from what it had been but what blew me away was the price of diesel as the spread now compared to before the prices went up earlier in the year, diesel was actually slightly lower than gas which was a switch from the theme the last number of years. However that sure isn't the theme lately and definitely not right now. The prices I will post are not from that retailer but just looking at gasbuddy for the main city in this area and instead of posting the lowest price someone found I will list the higher price ( and that may not be the highest price, just whatever someone posted on gasbuddy ).   So regular gas and there are a lot of stations listing the same price for regular is 1.68 a liter, premium 2.00 a liter. Diesel 2.03 a liter for a top price I saw on diesel.   Figures out to 6.36 a us gallon Canadian funds for regular and 7.68 for diesel. With the US exchange rate it would be 4.58 us for regular and 5.53 for diesel.    Thought I would figure that out to get a picture of what it settles out like compared to various US prices and its about the same as the current price in Fairbanks AK as Anchorage tends to be lower. So yes, these would be the prices and higher along the way on the Alaska highway where they know they have a captured market !, for fuel prices for those beginning the long drive back to the lower 48   The problem is our Canadian dollar and going to the states that have the high prices, boy do we pay then !
