Bose Sound Quality?

Just wondering how you guys with the bose radio are liking it? How does it sound compared to other years. I found my 04 was better than my 09 wondering what you guys think of the 2014 bose.

I think it sounds great.

 

I can't compare to the older trucks but my wife has a 2012 QX56 w/Bose and my SLT w/center console is way better. I have had every kind of system you can think of from db drag to sound quality set-ups and I haven't even considered changing YET. Maybe it's just my beat up for 20 years ears but it sounds great for a stock system. It even vibrates the rear view mirrors.

 

I just wish it was louder sometimes, but that goes back to the beat to death ears I have. The one word my wife hears multiple times on a daily basis is.......... HUH.

No highs, no lows, it blows, it has to be Bose. I just finished ripping it all out and putting some significantly better stuff by the names of Audison, Scan-Speak, and Alpine

What did you replace the upper dash speakers with?

Don't know about Bose system but not happy with standard audio system, still trying to figure out best way to upgrade.

The 7 speaker Bose system in my 2014 Sierra is a HUGE improvement of 6 speaker non Bose in my 2011. The system in my 2011 basically sounded like an AM radio.

 

Sound quality and performance is great with HD radio and CD's/MP3 disks. Streaming bluetooth devices and XM seems a step down.

Do you have any pics of your install? Did you leave the stock radio?

I would hope he changed the deck for his sake. Putting all aftermarket speakers and not putting in a good deck is like tubbing a stock Vega.

I didn't realize you could even change the deck since everything is integrated in one unit now with mylinc.

I have the bose with center console sub. It sounds pretty good. Lacks low end bass. But is easily upgradeable with an aftermarket amp and sub. I may do this in the near future.
