Bose Sound Quality?

No I don't believe you can get Bose on an SLE.

Correct. Bose isn't even an option for the SLE. You have to have th SLT to get the Bose system. I'm wondering if anybody knows of a sub box that will fit the new double cabs or if the crew cab box will fit in the double cab. Also, I'd love to uprgrade the entire system just as C25A1guy did, however I don't know what speakers will fit without a decent amount of modification. Does anyone else know?

go to your local audio shop, they will build you a small box for around $50. I have a double cab... I only want 1 sub... and only under the rear seat, passenger side.

JL TW3 10in - low profile sub... strong JL amp = will far exceed what 99% of us could ever want or need.

No need to mess with anything else.

Are you doing this without crossing over any of the factory stuff? Just one sub and replacing the amp?

I was told by the guys at Supercrewsound.com that their sub boxes for the 07-13 crew and extended cabs will fit the 2014 Crew and Double cabs. I've had a box made by them in the past. Good stuff.

They make single and dual boxes. I think even a ported box for crew cabs.

keep all the factory stuff in place... don't unplug anything. They can build you a box for cheap. Just a sub, amp and sub bass control knob... done. After that the BOSE will sound a lot better too because you won't be trying to push all that bass to it.... . push the bass just to the sub.

The key is getting quality equipment - you dont need 5 subs, a new head unit, etc, etc. That JL TW3 costs about $300... but it's worth it. You will think you have 2 10in... when you pair it with a bad ass quality amp.

This is exactly what I was looking for. A single sub under the rear passenger seat. If I can get everything you described for under $500 then it looks like I'll be giving myself a nice xmas present. Thanks for the info.

I was looking to do this:

Polk Audio MM1040 ~$140 (can be had as DVC or SVC) (had these in a previous vehicle.

JL Audio XD300/1 ~$209

SuperCrew Sound Sub Box ~$140

Add another $100 for cables and installation stuff.

that equals $589. Call it $600 to upgrade the Bose factory system with a MUCH better sounding sub.

I think that is reasonable.

mine is going to be $800 out the door.

JL - TW3 10in

JL JX 500 amp

$600 for sub and amp alone..

custom built box

bass control knob

all wires, labor, install.

You guys should look into the Infinity Basslink. More than enough bass and its an all in one system. I have one that I just pulled from my Acura laying around. Should probably toss it in the classified or eBay haha.
