Check pages 5-46 through 5-49 in the manual under vehicle personalization.

Looked there, does not address the issue. only explains how to set doors that un lock when put in park. not doors that lock when put in drive.

After additional searching, it looks like it has to be done by the dealer with a code from GM. It is no longer a user selectable option.

spent 30 minutes on phone with dealer,he made some calls and said there is no fix at present for this. He will dig deeper and talk to a factory service rep to see if it can be fixed. He also said that was stupid that you cant stop it. OH well. I also don't like I cant plug in my radar detector on the front stack because the power outlets are always on. Will go to an alarm or stereo shop and have them reroute the power line to a switched fuse on the block. Had to do this with an Audi a few years back.

I don't have my new truck yet but have used the Invisicord in LOTS of vehicles over the years. If the rear view mirror is similar to past years, it simply plugs into the power connector on the rear of the mirror. I have a Valentine One & mount it near the top of the windshield. There is just a very short piece of the cord showing.

I have a Denali with the 6.2 ordered...damn sure gotta have the radar detector!

new truck is different as rear view goes... you need to tab into the overhead. Search around.. there is a detailed post about this exact topic on here.

Hardwire your radar into your ignition fuse. It will come on when you're truck is running, you wont have to use up an outlet, and no cords in the way.

Please let us know about the locks and what the dealer/GM does. In todays bed wetter liability atmosphere, I doubt you can get this done. Again lets us know, as I am not buying new truck or sub if this cannot be fixed.

My 09 did not have a no lock on drive option and we had to us a special programming path at the dealer to turn it off. You can find the info in the 900s thread if you have a 900 and want to turn it off and can find a dealer to do such.

Even in the GMT-900 you can't turn it off completely. There are only two settings, "lock when shifted into drive" and "lock when travelling over 8 mph". They may have done away with the 8 mph setting.

Wrong! Like I said my 09 auto lock is off at any speed and only locks if I lock it . Did you read the 900 section thread as it is clear and worked on my 09. Maybe they changed on the later 900s. Some '11s commented it worked?

We used post # 3 on my 09 and it disabled the auto lock:

I plug mine into the port at the back of the center console, which is only powered when the key is on.
