Steering radius?

So after driving my Denali for a couple of days and doing a little pre-turkey day food shopping, it became clear to me that the turning radius is not very good on the 2014. When compared to my 2003 that I traded, I need to take a significantly wider turn to get into spots, or make 3 points just to park.

Anyone else feel that the radius has gone up? FYI length of vehicles was the same.

I had a 2002 Silverado and I don't remember what the radius was on that but my two 14 Silverado's turn much shorter than our 10 Silverado did.

I have the 5'8" now crew cab. Had the ext cab 6'6" on the 2003. I turned into the same spot with both and the radius is definitely tighter on the 2003. The dealer agreed that the radius has widened.

Hmmm...The measurements are pretty much identical...47.3ft for an ext.cab standard box 2003 4x4, and 47.2ft for a crew cab short box Denali 2014.

I must agree however, as I was moving a 2014 crew cab standard box around yestarday and it felt...wider in terms of turning radius. Same for a double cab (I have an ext.cab 2012) and they do turn different.

my 14 CC 6'6 bed has a noticeably bigger turning radius than my 01 ECSB Z71. Both are 4x4.

I have the CC short bed. Has almost the same wheelbase as my old ,95 ext cab with the 6' 6" bed. The '14 is a lot better turning into parking spots. My son just brought a '13 ext cab. I'll have to try it and compare it to my '14

I opened this thread expecting to see someone loving the turning radius. I think it is very good! Lets not forget this is a truck people. I feel like it is a very tight turning radius.
