I plan to mount one in the same space as you. I might even add a 30" behind the grill (for shiggles).

I'm probably going to go with Chinese versions though as i cant bring my self to drop the coin that rigid/visionX etc wants for theirs. I know that they are made in the US (supposedly) but $500+ for a light bar is ridiculous to me (No offense).

Pulled off the bumper tonight, removed the plastic trim piece to expose underlying metal, and test fit my new light bar. Fits perfect and looks pretty sweet IMO. Plan on doing permanent mount/wiring this weekend. Pics of bumper & test fit attached.

ARRRRRRGGGGHHH!!!!!!

 

Got my light bar put in and the bracket I fashioned didn't work as planned! The light bar is angled down about 10-15 degrees from level. Soooooo ticked right now!

I did go ahead and light it up anyway... sucker is bright! Pic below doesn't do justice because light is focused at a spot on the ground about 10 ft in front of the truck. Reflection washes out iphone camera, but even pointing down, you can tell it puts out more light than my HID headlights.
