Do you regret buying your 14 Silverado/Sierra

Regrets? Absolutely. Most of the posts I've read sounds like the majority is still in the honeymoon phase. Give it a few months or a few thousand miles when stuff starts breaking.

That being said. This is a great truck compared to earlier years but it wasn't ready for primetime. GM should've worked out a lot more bugs before it's release.

I can understand having one or two issues but I've had nine and still counting. I am experiencing just about every issue or complaint on this forum.

No "honeymoon phase here" Maybe you need a divorce then?

What we all fail to forget is we all ran out and bought a brand new vehicle... Did you guys think they would be perfect? It's a small price to pay for owning something BRAND NEW of its kind IMO... I just got my 2014 Silverado and I love it so far, no regrets. Maybe some of us are in a "honeymoon phase" but GM will correct the issues we have if any.. Just my .02

If you have been unfortunate enough to experience all of these issues then maybe its time to talk to the dealer/gm about how they can work things out with you, maybe a new truck or return it. That is if you really are having 9 different issues with it.

LOVE my 14 Sierra so far. Best truck/car I've owned. Haven't experienced the issues that people have been talking about here, so hopefully I don't run into any of those, but so far, couldn't be happier. Only thing that's let me down a little is the fuel mileage, but I upgraded to the 3.42 rear w/ the 5.3 and 20" All terrain wheels, not to mention winter blend gas here, so I'm reserving judgement until the summer to see where I'm at (plus trucks barely broken in so hoping it improves).. all in all, even if it didn't, i love this truck

5,800 miles and opinion/like of the truck has only grown. Some updates at first oil change but that is to be expected for 1st year truck. I have read some of the issues and feel bad for those with them; it spoils such a great truck. For now the only thing I can see making me regret my purchase is if GM puts that smaller duramax motor in these 1/2 tons in 2015 or 2016. My last truck was the 07 classic "dirty". The power of the oil burners is fun but I really don't need it for 99% of my driving.

That being said, I would not have given up the '07 if it was not for a little mishap at the dealer's service department. To make amends, the offer they put on the table, to trade up, was to good to pass up! Plus GM finally putting a 6.5 foot box on the half crews.................

The divorce proceedings are underway. I'm currently trying to lemon this turd. Strangely enough, I want another truck. The 2014 rides nice, lots of power and overall is a beautiful truck. Just the one I got is a lemon.

After selling off my 2011 Duramax[took all my equity out] I leased a CC 6.6" 4x4 5.3 3.42 1lt.Truck is nicely equipped I like the new interior.I swear my 11 Duramax rode better over road imperfections.I just finished a quick trip in a buddies 2013 1500 5.3 and I can tell you the throttle tip in on these new 14's is SOFT. It fells like a real dog,I know its for fuel economy but give it some snap off the line.Fuel economy is awsome on HWY but in town towing my small work trailer is no better than my last gasser 08 1500 5.3 4.10.Maybe a few regrets like missing half the torque I hope my next truck in 3 years is a 1500 with a diesel with 500 ft lbs of torque.Only reliabilty issue has been faulty wiper blades.
