Getting a new Truck from GM

Sorry to anyone who is having issues with their truck....but.....

Has anyone found a car manufacturer that has never had any issues or customer complaints??? I'll wait

Yes, GM really wants to put out crap products because all the informed consumers are just lining up to buy such a product and everything is going so well for them right now.....(sarcasm flowing thick)

People like you are the reason why all these big companies think they can get away with putting out subpar products and letting us as a consumer test them out. If you pay $50,000 for truck there should not be one thing wrong with that truck. These companies have been building trucks for almost 100 years if they can't get that crap right by now then they have some serious problems.

Yup, GM has been building 8 inch touch screen, back up cameras, led lighting, power everything, multiple speed transmissions, engines with displacement on demand & direct injection, sensors for every part of the truck for a 100 years. It is called new technology, no company has been doing that for a 100 years. Look at ford and the issues they have had with their tech (cough sync cough), or dodge and their issues. Give me a break, it was one issue and you act like it is a sub par product??? BTW, stop using the price as a basis for complaint, it isn't some unreachable amount that entitles complaining, these trucks can be afforded by pretty much any lower middle class person.

2014GMC, no I don't work at a dealer, I am in finance not autos. I am a realist, not some one who rides a unicorn to work. Nothing will ever be 100% totally perfect (Tesla isn't). As more and more stuff is crammed in to a space (I wonder how many miles of wire these trucks are now up to) there is more a chance for things to happen. There are so few issues people just want to complain for the sake of complaining, those are the ones who will never be satisfied. Be glad it isn't a blown motor/transmission/axle (has that even happened yet with the new truck on these forums?) and doesn't affect driving. How about look at the fact at how reliable vehicles are these day and how far they have come. I would have no quibble taking a 200k mile late model car on a road trip across country, a 60's style car with the same mileage? Um no.

I must not be a realist. If I spend my money on something it better be perfect. I don't care if it is a $10 meal or $50k car. If it isn't perfect I get pissed. Would I ask for a new truck, probably not but that is me. Do I blame the OP for wanting perfection, nope. He isn't upset with something that is unfixable (small cup holders, od shapped sunglass holder, poor info system) he is pissed about a noise the truck should not be making and it should be fixed or replaced.

I hear ya OP. Love my truck and I hope you can love yours soon.

Look your right but if you just say nothing then people will take advantage of you every-time. People that just take it live in china. They complain they loss their jobs, family, land excreta. I would hate to fight for a country that did not allow me to voice my opinion. its is your right to complain about people complaining.
