I really like my pickup

Yep. Sure do. Not really the body that gets me going as I still like the /gmt900 body style quite a bit but the interior. Love the interior.

So much different than my 09 Silverado.

I just went over 3000 miles but have yet to do a good long road trip.

But that will change in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to taking it.

Comfortable ride. Quiet. Just a sharp pickup. Yes, a few small issues but nothing I can't deal with, and not going to gripe about it. Never had a perfect vehicle and I have bought over 20 new vehicles in my life time.

So, glad I got it and it will serve me well.

Just wanted to add a positive post...

We took a rode trip in my wife's LTZ Silverado Texas Edition 4x4 back in August. Drove from Ft. Worth to Fort Walton Beach doing 80mph most of the way and got a little over 20 mpg all the way. It was a very comfortable ride. Liked the truck so much that I bought me a Silverado in Oct. These are fabulous trucks.

Glad I purchased mine! It's been a pleasure since I first sat in it. I know there may be issues, and that Ford or Ram may have a few things here or there on their trucks that may be nicer to some. However, I think these are all-around the best trucks out there. They will likley hold up better in future years compared to the Ford and Ram, if past performance is any indicator.

While it doesn't provide quite the same driving experience as my C6 Corvette did, I still thoroughly enjoy this new truck :). It looks sharp, rides great, has a good stereo, some high-tech features (finally!), a ridiculous amount of storage space (full console), and will hopefully be significantly better on fuel than any of the previous 5.3L powered trucks I've had. I also like that they now make the crew cab / 6.5' box option ......yes, it makes for a longer truck, but it's totally practical/versatile now, vs. compromising either the cab or the box. Maybe it's not "industry first", but I think it was a smart band wagon to jump on.

Overall, GREAT truck. Good job GM. Now please don't let yourself get left in the dust for another ~7 model years!! lol

Pete, you're comment about the crew cab and 6.5' box are spot on. That's what I was waiting for in a half-ton from GM. 2014 I was going to get a truck in that configuration, but thankfully I was able to stay GM. If not, I'd likely be in a Ram or Ford.
