First road trip on the new truck.

The only way I could get 20 mpg would be 100% highway no city or stops... I don't know how in the f&$@ u guys can get these numbers... Unless your mistakenly reading the" instant" mpg shown then sure lol I could get 60 mpg for that matter!!

That's what I have also. I've been able to average 22 on a 250 miles round trip venture. Normally in town I'm 16.5-17.5. I'm happy!!

mine will pull light hills in v4 mode.. and im not making this up it suprised the snot out of me on flat ground maintainging 40mph it was in 4cyl towing this trailer!! call bs if you want but i have zero reason to make it up.. 5.3 3:42

Instant mileage display is not equal to average MPG for the whole fuel tank. I usually do not get 25.7 MPG average even with my '09 Impala V6. I call BS on that claim. Plus the claim that V4 mode was maintained at 70 MPH going uphill.

Believe what you want, not here to create a storm of negative rants. V4 uphill as I wrote was if I carried enough speed down to get up the hill. All areas are different. I'm talking about the Southern California grape vine. Major hills I was in full power. Resetting my avg mpg before starting the road trip ended with the results as stated. My worse weekly avg mph on 6 fill ups during Southern California traffic has been 20.7-21.5 mpg. I work 9-6 meaning morning traffic sucks afternoon avg speeds of 34-40 mph and hit v4 a lot of the times.

My reason for this post wasn't to argue the amount of miles I've been getting. My question was for the fact I maintain better fuel milage in a larger incline and decline compared to flat ground with long slight inclines and declines. And does anyone else notice the same thing...

6 fill ups in 1,200 miles?? That is no where near 25 mpg - something doesn't add up..... I just did a trip from NE to Eastern TN (5.3 - 3.42 - 4x4) and averaged 19.6 MPG with speeds averaging near 80. I got 18.8 running 85 MPH thru eastern TN and I'm impressed. My AVG MPG for all 2,350+ miles I've had the truck is 17.2 and that includes pulling the bass boat over 200 miles. I've only filled mine up 7 times so far.......

Are we talking about the best readout number for a few miles or the average mpg on a tri? To determine last you need to double check computer with a manual check of mpg.
