Got the call from the dealership today that the truck is finally in. Although a few weeks late not due to the dealerships fault but shipping and the cold weather... I'll be posting pics later as I update with accessories. Finally no more loaner v6 to deal with....

Before you add any accessories to the truck, make sure it does not vibrate at highway speeds.

Yes, drive the poo out of it first, just to make sure. Then, post back with pics or none of us will believe you. Just sayin'...

If you don't have any more confidence in your new GM vehicle than that you should probably get a Dodge, Ford or some foreign truck!! I've bought tons of GM cars and Chevy trucks over many, many years and have NEVER had to take one back!!! Get real people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a foreign truck! Most parts are made in China or Mexico and it is assembled in Mexico. It is only sold in the USA. Does this make it a domestic truck?

That's EXACTLY what I'm saying. It's always worked for me for 40+ years.

That's because most of those vehicles were made in USA.

You honestly think that matters? Look at Wranglers with different color flares on each corner. Or plant workers being caught getting drunk and high on break. Even NPR did a hour long special on the NUMMI plant and how bad things were there in the days when it was just Fremont Assembly.

Yes, it matters. If they started building all GM trucks in China next year, would you really stand in line to fork over $ 60k (and they will get those sticker prices to that level soon) to get one? Not me. I would be very suspicious of quality.

What I'm trying to say is if you want the truck bad enough to order/buy one give it the benefit of the doubt so to speak. That's what warranties are for. To further make my point of the 35-40 new GM vehicles that I've owned in the past I can probably count on one hand the times I've had to take any of them back for warranty work. You guys sound like you EXPECT to have a problem right out of the gate. Sorry, I just don't get it.

You do realize manufacturers are required to keep track of the foreign content, right? They can't just make stuff up.

We'll let me not be a grinch like a few people on here that never have anything good to say and congratulate you on your new truck. I have had a few problems but no more than I would with any other first year vehicle. I love my truck and I sure you will love yours also. I understand that you are on this form for your passion in gm vehicles and only want to share your enthusiasm and passion with others as we'll gain and provide knowledge. Ignore the others and again enjoy!

Before signing papers I agree drive it for vibrations..check the dash for warpage..check the radio lights..check plastic around seats..

I only had a huge vibration that was fixed w new tires and I can deal w the radio leds..

Love my truck)
