That might work. I really have no idea what I'm going to do. I want them behind the grill like thag second pic but I can't figure out how to make it work. This may not work out.

I had to make little back plates/brackets for mine out of pliable plastic. But then again my lights are a lot smaller. I think by making L shape bracket might do the trick. That way you can mount the lights to the L and then to the top part of the grille from the inside, to hide everything. Thing is to find or make the L brackets long enough.

Been on vacation the past week. Sorry for the no update.

They're close, but no cigar.

Any ideas on getting them to fit?

Shaving the corners might work because it looks like there's a solid plastic piece inside the light that might still keep it sealed tight.

If I do get them to fit, then how should I attach them to the grill and be solid enough to take a grasshopper or Junebug at 80mph?

I would put a small piece of aluminum behind them, bolt them on to that but cut the aluminum down a little bit where the honeycomb grille gets thinner. That way you can't see the aluminum. Or as someone else mentioned, try making individual brackets for each light.

I'm thinking it's going to be too much trouble and look to janky to work. I just can't think of a way to make it strong and minimalistic and look good. The proposed ideas will be explored however.

I would use some small picture hanger wire wrapped through the holes around the grille it's reall thin so you wouldn't even be able to see it from afar or to close up for the matter. If you really detail orientated you could use a orange marker on the small area where the wire would cover the lense. The grill is chrome already so the wire would blend in real well anyway.

These halos are held on with said wire. You should really look into it

I installed my blendmount for my radar, tomorrow i'm going to hardwire it in hopefully. I ordered my hid upgrade for the lows and fogs from DDM, and I also ordered an Airaid Intake and BAK Roll-x from Autoanything.

I got the Roll-X, it's a great cover! Also if you do hardwire in your radar, can you post pics on how you do so? I'm thinking of doing mine

So far...

  • Battery conversion (running 2 deep cycle marine batteries, 1 dedicated to the truck, 1 dedicated to alternate/backup power)
  • 1400 watt inverter under rear driver side seat
  • Leer Bed Topper (not the best look, but great in Colorado mountain winter)
  • Rhino Lined the bed
  • LED lights running under both bed rails (operated by 2 switches in the bed)
  • Outdoor rated AC power outlet in the bed (connects to inverter, I camped in the topper on a -20 F night using a mattress pad, sleeping bag, and a heat blanket - awesome !!)
  • Leveling Kit
  • Removed front air dam
  • Window tint (match front to back)

Still want...

  • Rain guards for windows
  • More aggressive tires
  • OEM style fender flares
  • Some interior lighting stuff

Overall, the electrical work has been my most aggressive addition, it's pretty awesome to use in the back country.

Can you post pictures of the battery set-up and the inverter and outlet? Very interested in how you have this set-up.
