A lot does but not all. I noticed it the most with pollen here in New Engand. Blows off with the wind. I try to mist with detail spray and wipe down with microfiber cloth right after washing. Bugs hose off way easier too.

Yeah I'm also curious as to where you had your truck detailed

Opti-Coat Pro I'm guessing it's a clear coat over your paint.

A normal wash and wax is $80 I'm debating if I should just get my doors, box and flares clear vinyl wrapped for that much money.

I don't want trees to scratch my paint if I can prevent it for a couple hundred bucks I will, but I don't like sinking too much money into something that only loose value

Lol. Detailing correctly isn't cheap. It's that "you get what you pay for". Paint correction takes lots of time and skill to be completed correctly. The paint has to be corrected before any clear bra is applied too, or the scratches underneath will be visible.

You can always find "that guy" that'll detail it cheap, but keep that in mind. Cheap. Anybody can throw a coat of wax on and mask swirls and holograms.

I was told it'll last 2-3 years. I plan on having it redone every spring after the harsh winters.

No shop will have the same prices. Ask and see his whole process.

I'm going to take a swing at doing it myself. It's under 100 bucks to order the large kit. If you screw up it says you can remove it with alcohol and wax.

It's around $500 here. Debated on trying it myself but the guy said it's about an 8-10 hr job...no can do. That was with a one step polish/sealant.

I was just watching this. So it seems the key is too make sure it's 100% clean so that would take a while. But applying it doesn't seem to be very stressful

That's just for the ceramic sealant. It's just like painting, it's all in the prep work. The paint has to be completely stripped, clayed and polished first before a sealant is applied.

Clay bar with proper lubrication would take ~30 minutes if you do this annually...and don't have rail dust on your vehicle or anything ridiculous...

Spot on.
