It's a shitty feeling waiting and wondering what is wrong with it and will they fix it properly. Must be obvious that water got into something if he asked you about driving in the rain.

Yea I just cant believe that it would happen twice.

I hate to speculate, but when it comes to condensation and electrical components it is never a good combination. Good luck!!

Yea I know. I just hope they can figure something out for a permanent fix if that is the case.

WOW! I have never seen this post before today. ANOTHER problem I will have to anticipate.

Heard from my service writer. He says they cant duplicate the issue and there are no codes stored. Which I don't understand because I saw a flashing engine light yesterday. Wouldn't that store a code?

...but they are going to continue trying

As hard as it is to say, as we are all a GM community, these trucks are not ready for the general public, just yet.

Goddammit. I've had 4 new cars since 2010.....I am tired of pissing money away. It's gonna be fixed or I will drive it til it explodes.

GM buyback program. I'd start looking into it if it isn't fixed this time.

Mine is just fine. 6,500 miles, no vibrations, no seat issues, fires right up and runs great.

Report back at 15k. Most have started off with no problems at all and it starts as you put on the miles. Hope you are one of the very few that might have gotten a good one.

Very few? Stop being dramatic. GM has sold several hundred thousand of these trucks and if the majority had issues the media would be all over it since they jump at any chance to smear American automakers.

...If moisture is causing the issues that is just ridiculous.....

Back then I drove a German made '86 Ford Sierra (what a coincidence... ).

When I hit a bigger puddle the engine stalled because of the distributor getting wet.

I ended up building a 'splash guard' under the engine. Worked awesome.

I think I remember a lot of cars having some covers/splash guards below the engine from factory.

How about the '14 trucks?

so long

Purchasing a GM truck rolling off an assembly line in Mexico is no more American than buying a Toyota truck rolling off of an assembly line in Texas. Automobile manufacturers are all multi-national corporations with manufacturing and assembly plants all over the world.

Not going to debate that tonight. American brands are GM, Ford and Chrysler and the media loves to blast them whoever they get the chance. They like to sing the praises for companies like Toyota and Honda for being progressive and building all those stupid hybrids so people can feel good about themselves while big dumb American brands just churn out gas guzzling trucks. (According to them)
