Used tuner worth it?

I really don't want this to be a pissing match about tuners if I had 5-600 to spend on a tune it would be different but a guy at work is trading in his 2010 Silverado and asked me if I wanted his unmarried diablosport predator for $50 guess my question is will I notice a difference with the canned tunes on it is it worth $50 to tide me over until I want something a little more custom? I had a super chips on my 02 ram I think I paid $140 for used and it wasn't earth shattering but it was different and drove better any thoughts?

It may not be worth it for the tune, but it would be a great price for a code reader/clearer.

it's returned to stock... I think I will pick it up regardless, looking at this and other forums they still sell used for more so I should get my money back and maybe then some and if nothing else use it as a code reader
