Private Offers?

The fine print on the bottom of the private offer reads "Not available with some other offers." so that tells me it might be a rope-a-dope to pull you in to the dealership and then the dealer starts whistling a different tune ... same old, same old ... well, I'm about to find on Monday because I'm gonna be asking for every incentive under the sun

Finally nailed a 1k Private Offer tonight after trying all week. Good till 3/31

Last year, I got one and bought my '13 Camaro. Used it like cash.

Looking at a bare bones older build 1W/T. Should be cheap.

For Chevy or GMC?

I should have looked at the post closer to see that you were focusing on GMC. I have never had one pop there.

Funny thing is.......if you look at the Presidents Day promotional on certain Dealer Websites (not all of them), its described as "Presidents Day Select Customer Private Offer" when the Presidents Day Event is described.

So, in other words - its the "can't use 2 Private offers at once BS" . They'll probably pull the same crap when the Auto Show cash shows up next week too.

I'll play dumb, and push them toward my number I'm willing to pay.

If not, no worries and they sit on 200,000 new trucks.

My dealership told me I couldn't use the private farm bureau 500 gift certificate when I purchased my truck using supplier pricing. Which by the way is an ok price, it turns out there are 20 ways to get supplier pricing, credit union, costco, etc. they just try to make it seem like it's something special when it's really not.

Just tell the dealership to charge you like 50.00 more than supplier pricing so you are not technically getting supplier pricing so the offers will then be usable.

Old thread, but just wanted to share that Private Offers cannot be combined with ANY OTHER INCENTIVE include special financing. I just attempted to use my $4000 private offer on a purchase and it was really only worth $250 as there was $3750 in other incentives available for EVERYONE on the vehicle. Not such a "private" offer really when GM is handing out nearly the same incentives to everyone else. I pressed the dealer hard and they showed me the details from their GM Dealer Net showing that if the offer is used it locked out the ability for the dealer to use any other incentive out there.

Definitely a ploy to get you in to the dealer.

That is no good, I was able to use a Private Offer from another member on the site here for $1500.00 in June of 2016 with everything that was available, cash back, GM card rewards, trade in allowance, supplier rate, etc.....

That's even what the special offer tells you to do, make the best deal you can make with the dealer, then present the special offer at the end.

I used to work with the fleet manager who ordered/sold me my truck. so I probably told him about everything twenty or so times, just because I know him pretty well.
