Hi... Does anyone have the DL3 mirror connector pin layout diagram? I have the cab side electrical diagram from the GM upfitter website but need the door/mirror side. I found that all the wires are there on the cab side. Only 4 were missing from the door side connector. Blue/white(Singnal) Gray/green(Puddle) White/Violet, Blue/Violet. Now I connected the signal and it worked but the puddle light doesnt work. I know on the mirror connector that the puddle light wire is orange/white and black/white(ground?) but will not function. Not sure where the white/violet and blue/violet wire go too yet and if that has anything to do with the puddle light. If anyone could help me with this would be great. I know the power folding wires are already in my door harness but i dont have a switch yet..

Any updates ? This would be a nice upgrade for SLE.

Is your truck an SLE?

Hi. No. LT silverado. Wires are the same I think.

I also have the LT what did it take to get the signal to work? I am putting tow mirrors on but everyone says the signals do not work if you did not already have signal mirrors. I assume this is what you have gotten to work is the signals which you did not previously have?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

DL3 (power folding) - included on SLT and Denali, and LTZ and High Country.

They show as available on SLE, but not on LT.

Based on versions that make DL3 available I'd guess wires are in harness on SLE, but on LT; and not on base trucks from either division.

If you need BCM programming you will be out of luck, with the new global GM architecture the dealer told me the days of programming the BCM are gone.

I got ride of the trailer brake controller in my truck and wanted it programmed out of the BCM so I wouldn't get the dash warning and it is not possible.

I know this is an old topic but I've been out for a while. I can verify that the turn signals and heat work but the wiring for the puddles and auto dim are part of the harness that controls the power fold. If done correctly your looking at a LOT of money. You have to have the two DL3 mirrors (price varies), two different wiring harnesses about 125+ each, door switches both driver and passenger side (price varies) depending if new or used so add 200-400.00 , a VIN# from a donor vehicle that had DL3 options and then GM has to program them another 150.00

You can hardwire the puddles from under the dash but I really don't care about them myself.

If your truck had DL8 mirrors the DL3 turn signals will work as will the TOW mirrors as I have both on different trucks.

A friend of mine and myself are working on a KIT that will allow you to do this without tapping into the BCM wiring. Once we get it all set up I will let you know and post up a HOW-TO.

My 2¢ worth about puddle lights. What purpose do they really serve? They look cool?

Once you open the door the light moves away from the entry point.

any progress on this 1baddad? Just bought new 2015 Tahoe and does not have folding mirrors. I have converted my 2001 GMC Sierra to folding mirrors before, so I'm somewhat familiar with this. Also Does anyone have a write-up on removing the new door panels? And finally to Jusplayn, have you tried the switch on your swap yet?

Nothing yet but there is a way to make it work with a 2-way momentary switch which i feel would be best because if you need to close the mirrors to park in a tight spot you would not be able to do that with what i posted.

Here's something i found on the door panels i hope it works.

Also, Did you check and see if the 2014/15 might have everything but the mirrors and switches?

I have a 2014 Silverado wt 4x4. Came with power everything but mirrors. I would like to add power adjusting mirrors. I obviously know I will have to get the mirror switch, new bezel, and power mirrors. My question is do the current door harnesses have a plug for power mirrors? Or do I need 2 new harnesses as well? Please let me know! Thanks!

You'd need to check with the dealer but I know you will need wiring harnesses and switches with a BCM flash from GM but thing that might stop you is being a WT. They sometime do not wire them the same.

Any updates on this? I have a 2014 sierra Regular cab sle with every single option available! Power everything, except power folding mirrors. I would love the push of a button to fold my mirror instead of me reaching out the passenger window.

Hoping for some advice on what I should be looking at.
    • The truck is a 1995 Chevrolet S10 Blazer, 4.3 VIN "W" engine. :cracks knuckles:   On a whim - because I needed a headache - this truck was for sale so I stopped to take a look. Doesn't run. Well, it does, but barely. Long crank, choppy idle, bad misfire(s), it REEKS of fuel. I can DO this..I'm thinking. Diamond in the rough. One owner until last year. A young guy is selling it, he bought it 6 months ago. It stranded him more than once, he's got a newborn. It was in the shop 10 days ago and he "thinks" they said it needs a new fuel injection system. He can't put any more money into it, needs it gone. I was thinking of upgrading my Macbook, which is a total want, not a need. For less than the price of a new laptop I can have fun for months tinkering on this truck and enjoying it. I'm taking this truck home. The guy was beyond thrilled, his wife was there, she thanked me profusely, I could tell they were hurting. They seemed like good people in a bind.   Some parts, a wash, maybe a set of tires, and I can have a few months of fun and then turn it for beer money (or the next project).   Sure enough, there's a work order from a shop last week in the INCHES of paperwork on this truck dating back to when the first owner bought it. They put a new distributor in it, fuel injection work describes basically opening the plenum and putting it back together. He said he couldn't afford any more work so he had them button it up and that's when he put it up for sale.   I'm not well versed in 4.3. I did discover 1995 uses the 1992-1995 SCPI "Spider" injector which is riddled with issues from splitting lines, clogged or cracked poppet valves and plastic spider legs that crumble over time. Cool. I'll just order me a ne---. Oh, the auto parts store doesn't have it? Rock Auto doesn't have it. eBay? $$$$$$ for used. These are UNAVAILABLE period end of story unless you know "a guy" who's still got one in a box somewhere.   Can't upgrade to the '96-'04 injector, it's a different plenum, wiring/pinout and sensor config.   There are a few kinda "know a guy" -guy rebuild services for these injectors out there for about $350. Okay, Okay... I'd like to know if anyone has used them? Anyone got a lead on these crappy 92-95 spiders?   I also don't want to send MY spider to Narnia and back without knowing if that's truly the problem. I guess I'll need to pull apart the plenum and do some digging.   I was also thrown for a loop. This 1995 model year truck has an OBD-II connector. The interface is decidedly not OBD-II. I can read and reset trouble codes and view live data, but there's not a lot of data. Like misfire count and on what cylinder, that's not there. It's OBD-1.5.   Nothing is ever easy. Now it makes sense why this guy wanted to disappear this thing for cheap. I'm guessing the shop told him the injector is toast, the part is unobtainable and they're not going to sort sending the thing to a rando offering rebuild service on craigslist, and the kid likely can't be without a working car for 3 weeks even if they'd facilitate that.   Experience with these early SCPI's? Stories? Things to check? Sympathy? (..Nah...)   This can sit until I sort it. But I haven't had a problem with a vehicle I couldn't easily solve in a long time.
