So this is the first vehicle I have ever owned. 88 Sierra 2wd. Was given to me when I was 17. I gave it to my brother back in 2007, and now he bought a new truck so he has given it back to me. I plan to redo the truck completely the correct way this time. Here are some pictures of what it looks like at the moment.

This has a lot of potential. I think I would put it back to stock but with a few mild mods. Gotta love old trucks! Have fun!

Have a catalog from LMC on order. I've bought some things from them when I had the truck before. Here is my list so far. Keep in mind that I'll be at this for a few years, and that this is going to mainly be my toy while still being able to be used to haul small loads when needed.

- New rear gears w/positive traction. 3.73's?

- Bigger brakes up front, disc conversion in rear w/braided brake lines all around.

- Bucket seats w/center console.

- A/C system?

- Engine/Transmission upgrade

- New bedsides, Rocker panel, Hood.

- Paintjob

I think first I'm going to start with the interior. I want to refinish everything in either black or gray, and get some bucket seats with the floor console out of a GMT800 in either black or gray.

Paint I'm looking at Blue Granite Metallic with some kind of silver accent somewhere on the truck. Definitely doing a front end swap to the stacked headlights.

Engine, and Transmission are going to be something modern like a 5.3L with a built 4L60E. A 6L80E would be sweet, but not sure about being able to make that work.

Money will be no object for this truck. This is my project for the next how many years. Not worried about if it's worth putting the money into or not. I just want it to rip! :driving:

That actually never crossed my mind. I'd consider that though. Anything is better than that horrid bench seat.

My brother has a 95 regular cab with the split bench and power lumbar. Not as comfortable as mine, but not bad at all

Also the 6L80e wont be an easy swap, could go LS1 with 4L65E. Would be a fun little truck with that combo

Yea, that's why I was thinking GMT800 seats. Most comfortable ones I've sat in IMO. I'm fine with the 4sp trans just as long as it will survive the beating I'm going to throw it.

An LS1 will be the easiest to swap in, the LS3 can swap, and the 65e can handle both
